    lovelovelove

i LOVE parc! my first experience here was on a sunday for brunch and it was fabulous. last night i went to parc for dinner and got the cheeseburger. it was PERFECT! perfectly cooked, just enough cheese and onion. amaaaazing fries with it. the atmosphere at parc is just incredible. sitting outside facing the square makes the dining experience that much better. i have been to paris and they hit it right on the nose with this restaurant! expensive but totally worth it!

    Delicious!

My husband, Father and I went to Parc for lunch. The sandwiches were delicious and the portions were large. The "fries" were killer! We were also given a basket of tasty breads and dipping oil. For dessert, we had pot de creme. I highly suggest making a trip just for that! Our server was a bit pretentious but always there with refills and checking on us.

    delicious

this restaurant is great. the decor is really nice. the restaurant was very loud (it was a saturday night, so it's understandable); it would have been a bit more enjoyable if it was a bit quieter, but overall very nice inside. the food was excellent. in my party of 5, we all enjoyed our appetizers, meals, and desserts very much. the ny strip steak was absolutely delicious and very tender. the service was great and very attentive. they made sure to clear and clean the table often. the food came out pretty quickly, which surprised us since the restaurant was so busy. overall, great place. i recommend it. it's pretty expensive, but i think it was well worth it.

    Great dinner

Our food was delicious and prepared precisely as requested. I would favorable compare my strip steak to that from any steakhouse: as juicy as prime and it was spot on medium-rare. Two dinner companions had the hangar steaks and raved of quality and preparation. The mussels and frites were sensational- generously filled bowl of succulent, fat moules. The bread basket is a standout. The robust, chewy crust and soft inside is a home run. These bread offerings are deftly prepared by the touch of artisans. Even the slight char on the bottom crust was exacting- ading both character and a whisper of smokiness. Kudos! The service was spot-on glasses kept full, empty plates never lingered and food/drinks arrived when expected. The table was discretely wiped (from all the crumbs from that gorgeous bread) twice. Neither time was she obsequious or obtrusive. To balance this review there are a couple of items that could improve. One is the portion size. The two hangar steaks cuts were surprisingly mis-sized. While neither size was "wrong", the problem was the inevitable comparison when presented at the table. The friend with the smaller cut rightfully felt 'cheated'. The other area for improvment is the wine menu. Traditional local french restaurants (bistros) do not maintain massive wine cellars. However Parc's aspiration is to something more than a corner restaurant a revamped winelist will help Parc achieve lofty heights. But enough complaining. On an up note, the decor and location are sensational. It was a cool Saturday night and the doors were open to the park. Gas heaters kept the inside comfortable and allowed the atmosphere to really shine.

    Poor Management Staff

My beef bourguignon was served absolutely burnt and overcooked. I sent it back and got a burger, which I ordered medium rare, and it was served well done (in fact, cooked more than my friend's burger, which was supposed to be well done and was undercooked). I gave my friend half the burger for him to take home since his was undercooked. When the check arrived, they didn't comp my meal, and since our tab was over $200, we thought that it would be standard customer service of them to comp the burger, being that it was only $15. When we mentioned it to the manager, they said they would take care of it, and dropped a second check, still charging us for the meal. Then, we mentioned it a third time, and they said they would take off the $15, as long as they could take the half of the burger from us so my friend couldn't take it home! Long story short, having worked in the restaurant business, I am appalled at the customer service from the management staff. There are too many good French restaurants in Philadephia to waste my money on a return trip to Parc.

    Billet Doux XXXOOO

Another planetary landing by Starrship Stephen in Philly's restaurant firmament. Oooo Ooooo Ooooo. This time it's from that faraway galaxy France. Hey, Steve, hire some Frenchies to serve and run the place for an 'echt and frites.' Bonne chance, mate! Richard
