I invited friends from New Jersey to try this restaurant. Filipino restaurants are common in NJ, but mostly "point-point" style. They were very happy with the quality of food, the large portions, and the family ambience. There were 6 of us and we didn't finish everything we ordered. We had them "to go." My friend just texted me that the escabecheng tilapia was super "sarap", meaning delicious. I'll keep on bringing friends from NJ to this restaurant so that this can stay here forever...

A friend told me about this restaurant. We immediately went and we were very happy that finally there is a decent Filipino restaurant in Philly, not the "point-point" style. Food is good, especially the crispy pata - crispy on the outside and moist inside. Value is okay because you get large portions.

I've been to Pasiano's a few times: twice as a diner, and once as a guest at a private party. The food is good enough; after all, it's in a very italian neighborhood so grandmom's gravy is a hard comparison, but it's good enough. The price, however, for a simple meal for two makes it too expensive to be a simple neighborhood restaurant for the community. I suspect the limited seating forces the income per table to be high in order to make a profit. as an example, one night i was there, my food had to be passed to me by the table next to ours because the server couldn't get close enough to us to hand us our food directly! too crowded, too expensive is my opinion.
