Philly's Platinum Grille
Posted by Niecey on 06/08/2015
I visited Philly's Platinum Grille for the first time yesterday. They had live entertainment that was excellent. The crowd was mature and well dressed and the atmosphere was nice. I didn't pay so I can't say how the prices were but the food, I had a crab cake and seafood chowder, was saltier than the Atlantic. The taste was ok but the amount of salt in it could cure a pig. Tell the chef to lay off the salt. If you season your food well you don't need so much salt. Also, the restaurant was very busy so the dinner service was slow.

We were told 30-35 min wait, ended up waiting over and hour..service sucked..drinks were weak and watered down, i asked for a glass of water and it tasted like dirty tap water, not even filtered, I'm writing review as I'm still waiting on my food..over and hour still no food, at this point I'm not even hungry! Save your time and go somewhere else!

I had a wonderful time at Platinum Grille. First time there food was great, waitress was great, music was great. Only room that needs improvement is how long it rakes for the food to come out. Waited a long time for entré, also we had a large party 15 people and no one ate at the same time..

The crab cakes were excellent. Better than most I've eaten out. All the food was delicious. The place was clean, the waitress cordial and a live DJ was setting up but we had to leave. I liked it very much and will definitely go back.

I went on a sunday night when there was music. The music by a small band was great!! Mr. Joe Harrison was the leader of the band. Good food and good music=a good combination.
