    Two Problematic Visits

recently visited Pietro's on 18th and Walnut in Philadelphia. Neither time was a good experiemce. I really like their Marherita pizza and drinks, but the service was very slow and on this past weekend, the place was not busy at all. There were several errors in the orders. One error was that the shrimp was to be served with the sauce on the side and needless t say, the shrimp arrived in the sauce. The waiter replied that he tld the kichen staff to put the sauce on the side and he even showed us the slip with the directions. There were errors with the drinks as well. No compensation was given for the long wait and the errors. The waiter was very nice and pleasant. Hoowever, he did not ffer any compensation and he was aware of all of the problems. The only plus was Frank Sinatra and Connie Francis singing. The previous visit was just as problematic.

    Greatest hostess!

Every time I call to order, whether pick-up or takeout, I encounter the friendliest hostess ever in Philadelphia. Never once have I experienced a rude voice on the other end of the phone line. She is always polite, helpful, and makes my decision of where to order an easy choice each time. I would highly recommend to anyone!!

    great food... poor delivery

i love eating at this restaurant and was extremely disappointed to find out they will not make a delivery 5 blocks away simply because i am below broad street. great way to lose business.

    Great food and service

I've been here twice now and both times have been great. The "make your own pizza" is really fun. It can get pricey but the toppings are fresh and taste great. Last night I had their pasta with arugula and chicken. Even the small size was more than enough and I got to take some home. It was really good. Our waitress was very attentive. Their salads are huge and also taste great.

    Not recommended

This is a typical place for tourists: looks enticing from outside until you taste the food. Overcooked pasta with little seasoning and we had to wait over 30 minutes for it. Everything tasted like a microwave TV dinner here. Service was OK, but the managment was very grumpy and careless: one of them was dusting a shelf next us just as we were trying to eat. Bad, bad, bad. We didn't complain about anything; we just won't be coming back .

    Yummy pasta

I only get one dish here and its great - rigatoni with vodka sauce. It's great. I hear the pizza is great too. Family friendly restaurant. Great as delivery too

    Excellent Choice!

I have been here several times and have never been disappointed by the food or service. Great Italian food, attentive and polite wait staff, reasonably priced.
