Not so good to be near South St.
The food was good, but the service is not good. I had to wait 25 min. to recieve my food and it was cold! The waitress just stood at the counter looking for tips, you don't make good tips that way!

Banana Creme Pie
If visiting Philadelphia, you must go to the Pink Rose Pastry Shop and try their banana creme pie - it is to die for!It truly is the best. Get an assortment of goodies to take home - it's better than any souvenier. Enjoy! RSnow from the Carolinas

Good prices, cold food
Every time I go here, I end up waiting incredibly long to actually get my food and it is usually cold; I feel like my server forgets about me. They could use a bit of a clean up as well since the inside is dingy and rundown looking. Simple food, good prices.

Lovely corner bakery
I grew up around the corner and a childhood girlfriend and I used to debate over which was better, Isgro's or Pink Rose. She was all about Pink Rose, and while i am still all about Isgro's (Termini's for cookies), Pink Rose is a delightful place to sit and have dessert. I went out with friends to Ansill one night and while no one wanted dessert there, I brought them to pink rose and it was a great way to cap off the night. The banana creme pie, lemon bars, brownies and anything chocolate and all cookies they do are highly recommended.
