    A Charming and Delicious Experience

I'm usually disappointed with the Puttanesca when I order out, because my own is made to taste and texture. Even with the chunks of tuna (I prefer anchovies) the sauce was otherwise richly flavorful and the penne al dente. I wasn't aware it was a byo but they were hospitable enough to pour us a glass gratis. All the staff were friendly. I'd go again. I'd like to try the lasagna.

    disappointing

My family and I went here bc we were really looking forward to a nice Italian meal. Our appetizer, veal meatball sliders, were PHENONOMAL. My dinner was literally plain angel hair pasta with some boiled vegetables on top. It sounds like I'm exaggerating but I'm not at all. My parents pizza came barely like warm. I very rarely not eat my dinner when I go to a restaurant but I just ate the vegetables (which had no seasoning whatsoever) bc I was so hungry. Without a doubt it was the most boring Italian pasta dish I have ever consumed.

    Unexpected a find

We stumbled upon Pizzacato on a recent visit to Philadelphia. Thought we were going in for pizza and then got tempted by the intriguing menu. Started with the artichoke zucchini appetizer that we devoured followed by the very refreshing salad with pears, walnuts and Gorgonzola. The linguini and clams were flavorful with lots of juice and my dining partner enjoyed the "special" linguine with seafood that was served in a red sauce. It was a busy evening and the service was attentive. Would definitely recommend this unassuming spot. Good value and food was a very high quality .

    Great dining experience

We just visited Old Town Philadelphia on Sunday and had a great dining experience at Pizzicato. Service was friendly without being pushy, prices were reasonable for a city restaurant, and the weather was perfect to sit outside. We had the crab and avocado nest and the Caesar salad with seared salmon. Both were outstanding and the presentation was beautiful. I would definitely recommend it.

    The Best Pizza in Town!

Pizzicato serves the BEST pizza topped with quality fresh mozzarella, crushed tomatoes, and basil. Add a couple of classic toppings and you can't go wrong. This sit-down restaurant is a culinary treat that's hard to beat anywhere. You will not be disappointed by a Pizzicato lunch or dinner. The price is right, the service is terrific, and the tastes will knock on your tongue for joy.

    Subpar dinner multiple times

Just not a nice atmosphere. Has not changed since 1997 when it first opened. Food is ok but there are far more better places to go in the old city district. Right on any corner. I would go some where else honestly.
