always excellent
We had yet another fantastic meal at Porcini on Saturday night. We were in with 6 people so Steve, the chef, made us some wonderful family sized apps. Everyone's meal was delicious. Just good, homemade cuisine. Can't wait to go back again!

Very good, very simple
Normally a restaurant of this variety would be out of my ballpark for just a Monday night dinner, but since my dad was in town for a business trip, he and his colleagues footed the bill, and despite not getting a chance to order (I came later from work, so they ordered on my behalf), I'd easily order what I ate again. The food was all very simple, yet very flavorful. Until you've had a real fettucini, you'll never know how bad the stuff you get at most places is. Canneloni elsewhere will forever taste of frozen filling. And its the only mixed-green salad I mopped up with bread. The only complaint- their bathrooms are in their basement, and were clearly designed for or by midgets, as I had to duck to go down there.

A great meal,
If you want fabulous food in a friendly atmosphere, this is the restaurant for you. We went with a friend who loved the place, and we said, "feed us" and, boy, did they! For appetizers, four if us shared two great pastas including a memorable bolognase and then split three terrific entrees including the most wonderful scallops. And then the canole...

If Michael is in he may even give you his unfinished bottle. Great unpretenuous spot.

Best meal in Years
My wife and I picked Porcini's from a recommendation and after checking out the menu online. What a great spot. From the owner to the chef to the surrounding atmoshere it was a wonderful experience. We started with calamari and filet medallions as our appetizer-I can't even describe how great it was. Our salads were delightful. Then came our entree's- Delicious. I would highly recommend this BYOB to anyone. Thanks David and Steve for making our night out great

Great food...extremely loud
Two friends and I dined here as part of the Restaurant Week experience. The food and service were very good, but the restaurant is just too loud. At one point, I couldn't hear my friend accross the table because of the noise. I'm not sure what they can do about it as the space is just accoustically challanged. As a side note, the rest rooms are very small and odd shaped. Very steep steps to get down to them.

Great Experience
My friends and I dined at Porcini this past weekend. We were very pleased with the friendly staff and delicious meal. The rigatoni was outstanding! Although the restaurant is small, we found it pleasant and inviting. We will definitely return.
