    A Big disappointment

I heard so many good things about this restaurant but I was disappointed. I booked the restaurant for a surprise party on a Sunday afternoon. Boy, was I surprised when I showed up. I walked in and thought I was in a club. I couldn't hear a thing with the loud music. There were people blocking the bathrooms. I had people in there 90's that had to be escorted to the bathroom. The people at this party were lewd and asking if my 12 year old nephew wanted to party. The place is beautiful but I would never go back there again...I THOUGHT I was booking a nice restaurant not a club. The waitresses and waiters were nice but at times slow with the coffee and drinks. The food was good but I can honestly say I would never go back or recommend to anyone.

    New Years Dinner

On December 31, 2011 we had New Years Eve dinner at Postiano Coast, 2nd & Walnut and it was great. The décor was very bright and friendly. They have expanded the restaurant, adding more rooms and we were able to get a table in the alcove by the windows which was intimate and cut down on the noise level. We had 6:30 PM reservations and were seated right away. The menu was limited because of New Years Eve but they had a nice selection of items to choose from. We started with grilled Spanish octopus which was excellent, followed by Buffalo Carpaccio a tasty treat and the best Tuna Tartar that we ever tasted. For our Mains I had Roasted Lamb T bone which was not what I expected as it was actually just a lamb chop but cooked very well. My wife loved the Tuna Tartar so much she had it as her main. We had an excellent bottle of 2007 Cotes de Rhone which was a lovely blend of Syrah, Grenache and Mourverdre. Service was excellent and we were very pleased that they did not rush us as we have experienced on New Years Eve at other restaurants. We plan to visit the restaurant again and experience their full menu.

    not my favorite Lamberti restaurant

This was disappointing. Positano Coast looks so beautiful from the outside. And, from the inside, it is stunning. However, you can't eat the atmosphere. My family and I had such high hopes for this place. We had been meaning to eat there for quite awhile. And, unfortunately, we will never go back. The food was unremarkable if not lousy. Rigatoni bolognese was the only decent thing we sampled while we were there. The broccoli rabe was so salty no one could eat it--which is saying a lot for us because one of the members of my dining party loves salt so much that she carries a salt shaker in her purse. The dish was inedible. Our "shrimp" salads were also misleadingly devoid of shrimp. In our supposedly large, entree-sized salads, my mother and I each only located three pin-sized shrimp amongst the dried-out romaine leaves. I honestly cannot imagine those lousy, fishy shrimp being worth a quarter of the $15 they cost. Ridiculous. I can find much better uses for my money. I won't be back.

    Enjoyable taste of the Mediterranean!

I've been here for lunch and dinner. Excellent meal both times. I especially like the Seared Tuna dish! Don't be thrown off by reviewers who complain of "small portions". This is a "tapas" or "crudo" style of restaurant. Expect to order 2-3 small plates of food instead a gargantuan bowl of spaghetti! This is not that kind of place. I think the setting is extremely romantic and in a lovely location. If you're catching a flick at the Ritz 5 it couldn't better. Across the street from Sheraton Olde City as well. I'd love to go again!

    A lovely, romantic dinner

The food here is superb, although small in portion size, as mentioned by other posters. The service was attentive but not annoying, and the sofa lounge booths were very romantic. Good wine [select]ion. The duck and the gnocchi were a delight. I would recommend it highly if you’re going for taste (not quantity).
