not my favorite Lamberti restaurant
This was disappointing. Positano Coast looks so beautiful from the outside. And, from the inside, it is stunning. However, you can't eat the atmosphere. My family and I had such high hopes for this place. We had been meaning to eat there for quite awhile. And, unfortunately, we will never go back. The food was unremarkable if not lousy. Rigatoni bolognese was the only decent thing we sampled while we were there. The broccoli rabe was so salty no one could eat it--which is saying a lot for us because one of the members of my dining party loves salt so much that she carries a salt shaker in her purse. The dish was inedible. Our "shrimp" salads were also misleadingly devoid of shrimp. In our supposedly large, entree-sized salads, my mother and I each only located three pin-sized shrimp amongst the dried-out romaine leaves. I honestly cannot imagine those lousy, fishy shrimp being worth a quarter of the $15 they cost. Ridiculous. I can find much better uses for my money. I won't be back.

Enjoyable taste of the Mediterranean!
I've been here for lunch and dinner. Excellent meal both times. I especially like the Seared Tuna dish! Don't be thrown off by reviewers who complain of "small portions". This is a "tapas" or "crudo" style of restaurant. Expect to order 2-3 small plates of food instead a gargantuan bowl of spaghetti! This is not that kind of place. I think the setting is extremely romantic and in a lovely location. If you're catching a flick at the Ritz 5 it couldn't better. Across the street from Sheraton Olde City as well. I'd love to go again!

A Nice Surprise!
Big up to Chef Lamberti and his team! It was a great experience dining at Positano Coast. Keep up the good work chef.

A lovely, romantic dinner
The food here is superb, although small in portion size, as mentioned by other posters. The service was attentive but not annoying, and the sofa lounge booths were very romantic. Good wine [select]ion. The duck and the gnocchi were a delight. I would recommend it highly if you’re going for taste (not quantity).

Disappointed
Sad to say we were disappointed...the food portions were extremely small and the price was very expensive. We had been to the restaurant before and it was a good experience but this time we were very disappointed. Our entire party ordered appaetizers, entrees, and dessert and we were still hungry. It was almost laughable when the entrees were served. The dessert plates were actually bigger than the entree plates and that doesn't say much. This was an unfortunate experience as the food was prepared well and very tasty.

Nice place, great food
I had a good time here. Very profesisonal staff and a charming outdoor seating area. The food was amazing. Be prepared to order several different dishes as the portions are all small. The wine list is extensive and the portions are a good value (as thay come in seperate containers and not in glasses). I strongly recommend this place!

The Big Party
Positano was our first choice for our big party of 23, and it turned out to be a very delicious choice. The beginner/ apps were great, the stuffed calari and the the crab cakes were to die for. The portions are small but the food is delicious. The staff made all attempts to make all 23 of us happy and in the end, after a few minor details they succeeded. We definately recommend Positano's. OH and yes our two waitresses were great!
