Primavera Pizza Kitchen

We dined here frequently over the past 15 years, and had consistently excellent experiences - great food and excellent value. But we will not be returning. Apparently new management has taken over, and cut quality and service. We were very disappointed, and can only hope there will soon be new management who know how to run a good restaurant.

I went last night with my family. Primavera has been our go-to place for YEARS. I don't know what has happened, but the place has definitely changed and not for the better. It is clear they have a new management, new staff, new menu. Everything is different. It used to be a nice trattoria-type place but it is obvious they are scaling back. The former menu had TONS of delicious options, but this new menu is very limited and our party of 6 noticed that immediately. They have swapped out the linen napkins and tablecloths for paper. The place barely had anyone in it, yet the service was still incredibly slow. What the? We were taken aback by these changes, but we stayed and gave it a shot. The food was mediocre, and it was obvious that the new management has decided to limit the menu, make portions smaller, and raise the prices. That's a 'recipe' for disaster. Bottom line, it's just not the same place that has kept us coming back as 'regulars' all these years. I never had a bad experience here EVER until last night. This place has really gone downhill. If it stays like this, they will be forced to close. We certainly won't be back.

Been here in the past and had good memories of the food and the atmosphere. How things have changed. We were shown to a table that had food remains all over the floor below it. It was so obvious, but it was I who noticed it and had to ask for another table. We had a fine waitress, although she clearly was dismayed by the recent changes in the resto, telling us that they no longer "overbook" as the once did, that they are no longer as busy, and that she is just lucky to have a job. We ordered one of their "Toast" selections, and for $5 we got two v v thin slices of maybe 3 inches in diameter Italian bread with a dollop of green something (Was it pesto? I forgot what the menu said, and my tastebuds couldn't discern.) Some mushrooms were added to the top. If it was supposed to be hot, it wasn't. Hubby had a veal dish, which he enjoyed, although it was accompanied by the fewest number of roasted potatoes as possible. My gnocchi was tasteless. I am never a user of extra salt, however I had to improve it somehow. I ended the evening with a trip to the restroom, and I wished I would have gone into it before the evening began. It a resto cannot keep up with the cleanliness in a restroom it tells me a lot about the cleanliness, or lack thereof, elsewhere. Stick floor and all. Done with this place and you should be too.

I will keep this short as many reviewers have hit the major points. We used to go to Primavera at least once a week, so much so that the wait staff would come to our table to say hi even if we weren't their responsibility. Then the place was sold, portions were halved, and the food itself went down hill. I truly don't understand the thinking here. It is such a shame that our neighborhood lost a great place to dine. Thankfully there are so many eateries near by that far exceed the quality here, and for a better price

This was one of our favorite "go to" places to eat. Over the last year, we noticed changes that , at first, we attributed to an "off night" where food and ambience was less than desirable. Then we learned last week that the restaurant had been sold and the new owners had a very different understanding of what the public would wanted or desired. Food selections changed, menus were printed so small that the restaurant had to offer reading glasses for patrons to be able to see the print (really true). Take out containers were changed to paper which collapsed with the heat of the food . Recently we heard that the entire decor of the restaurant was going to be changed...... wall murals will become bold stripes. So much for ambience. We have decided to not return.

Great food in unbelievable atmosphere, it feels you are in Italy. The service was fast and the staff were very friendly to my family, will be back soon.

Used to go there at least once a month if not more. Prices were comparable with serving size, food was great. including takeout. Last three visists were a wreck. Small portions, bad price. Last night take out of crab/avocado salad was the last vist. Ordered (3) salads. ( with tax around $50.00)A fistful of lettuce, dried out olive, and a dusting of light crab meat was horrible for the price.Even the container was changed from syrpfoam to cheap cardboard. This salad used to be off the charts as we had gotten it numerous times before. Main Line prices for serving garbage. Wont be back as will most other patrons I know
