What Happened!
Since the change of the owner, the burger went from best in the city to one of the most disappointing. Why does the chef think people want a well done double cheeseburger? Bar scene is great and the beer is cold. Food was extremely dissapointing (since the change of chef).

Great philly burger
Favorite burger in the city, hands down. Not quite sure why everyone raves about whiskey village when compared to this place, their food is mediocre at best. Our waitress was super friendly and the bone marrow we had as an app was a ten as well. Can't wait to go back.

Food was a let down!
Twice I have eaten there and both times the food was really poor - it didn't matter what we ordered, no one was impressed. The only positive was the waitress.

great place all around
not sure why there are haters saying it is a NYC wannabe. It is what it is, i had the gnocchi and it is a parisiene styel like friggin thomas keller makes. philly just doesn't know food. servers were knowledgable and atmosphere was a good mix. i was there when it was chaucers and know the difference between a frozen $5 burger and a dry aged blend of beef with bone marrow butter. too bad most of philly doesn't get it. i say it may be pricey but it is because of the quality. ill be back

gastropub at its finest
You can't go wrong here--whether it's the gazpacho soup, the fish and chips with mushy peas seasoned with a hint of mint, juicy burgers or pulled pork, the mussels. It's all as good as it gets.

Pretentious NYC wannabe
I used to come here when it was Chaucer's and it was a real dump. When P&K owners came in, I was hoping it would be a bit classier; but not this. Somewhere in between would have been nice. The bartenders are snobby, albeit they may have the hottest girl in the city working the door. The food is really very good, and priced where it should be-- unlike the drinks. I called in to order take out the other night to avoid the scenesters and guess what happened... "we do takeout but you have to come in and order it at the bar, we don't take orders over the phone..."
