Pura Vida

went there last weekend for dinner with a couple friends. we started with pitcher of margarita and a ceviche, it was yummy. for dinner i had a shrimp dish with butter and cilantro sauce, loved it. i will definately go back.

we go there as many times as we can considering our lunch time is only 40 minutes. the wait is always long, so we try order the moment the waistress comes over (we know the menu from heart)...but they do not like to give separate receipts. why they cannot write up a separate reciept is beyond me. they will only take one order per table. so if other co-worker come along and sit at our table, we now have to do the math, and figure out who pays what. every other restaurant in this neighborhood (whether they write out one check or several) at least doesn't have an attitude, for us wanting to pay separately. the main employee almost threw the register at us, insisting, we do not separate orders....well gues what, WE WON'T GO THERE ANYMORE.

The food was ok, but the service was not. The restaurant is smaller, and they kicked us out and didn't bring our dessert because another large group with a reservation was waiting to be seated at our table.

Girlfriend and went to pura vida for dinner and found it to be very good. I had the steak Plato and she had a pork burrito. The meats had great flavor and all the ingredients blended together well. It is cozy inside but does have an air conditioner. The only negative was that the guac had a little too much lime for our taste. Definitely going again.

This place is great. The food is really good, good prices and its BYOB. They also dont rush you out which is always good for a byob. The chips and guac are also good and the quesadillas are awesome. Only thing is that it gets hot in there in the summer. Great place, I love it and go back often

Sweet little place with very pleasant staff, but the food is only ok. Cuban sandwich was not great -- roast pork was a thick dry slab with little flavor, and American cheese on a Cuban sandwich is kinda gross to me. American cheese on a pupusa is also gross, and they served us that, too. Pickled cabbage salad served with the pupusa had some zip, and the tacos were all pretty good (veg was just onions and peppers, but was tasty bc of the good hot sauce and guac -- beef "ilichita" taco was really tasty, best thing we ate there).

This place was awesome. The staff was friendly and the service was excellent. The guacamole was AMAZING as well. I got the veggie burrito and it was awesome. I would definitely come to eat here again!
