Tasty
It's reliably good, very tasty food. Good meat, sliced nice and thin, great pickles, salads, soups, etc. The prices are reasonable, but it would be nice to have more combination plates or complete meals instead of ala carte. The tablecloths need replacing. Wonderful people. Who needs a "Famous" deli when we have Rachaels?

Nosh away
It's obviously no Katz's. But the hot pastrami does the trick, more or less. And I liked the "Perfect Match" sandwich. The mac & cheese was really greasy and not super appetizing, though. Service is always good or better. Value is very good, considering the location (sandwiches are all in the $5-10 range, if memory serves). Atmosphere is neither inviting nor uninviting. Definitely worth visiting. Who knows? You might get hooked.

Best Lunch Order
New to working in the city and have been trying several area deli's that provide delivery service. Rachels' has been the best by far. Orders arrive quickly and without mistakes. Sandwiches and salads could easily be shared between 2 people and the ingredients are fresh and delicious. Have ordered for a group of co-workers who have sampled many area take out restaurants and they agree Rachel's is the place to go. Thanks for the great lunch, we'll be ordering again soon.
