Totally disappointed!
My sister & her husband took us to Ralph's for dinner a couple of months ago. I have lived in Queen's Village for the past 30 plus years & had never eatten there. The food was nothing to rave about & the price was ridiculous. No atmosphere! The interior was something out of the 40s with none of the good elements of that period.

Go for the veal!
I took my friend here on a busy Tuesday night for a birthday dinner. The place does not take reservations for 2 people, but the wait was not long at all! It is this cozy little downstairs area which reminds me of some place in NYC with the tile walls and tables close to each other. The service is outstanding. The meal is great. While I wouldn't get a side of veggies the pasta was just right. Get the pasta fagioli soup. We both liked the veal capricciosa and veal marsala. My only complaint is that the bar menu is not listed. I like to see what I can order and know the price to gauge whether I want wine by the glass or to just order a bottle. It is a full service bar, but you have to ask if they have something. I'd like to see a special cocktail being offered by them on a daily specials menu or something. FANTASTIC place. It was the first time eating there for both of us, and we definitely plan on coming back! This place is busy for a reason. Quality food at an affordable price for South Philly fans. I love it!

Love it
I'm from South Philly, so maybe I am partial--this is to all the comments below--Ralph's is the oldest ital. rest. in USA so they do not make any updates to keep the tradition...is it over priced, a little bit but the food is great, they have the best mussels red you will ever get and the service is always good there from what I reeived in the past and hear from others...I recommend you try and their best dish there is checken sorrento...FYI-your never suppose to order gravy or "sauce" and macaroni out, its usually never the same from homemade.....

Overrated
I heard about Ralph's for years and we were excited about finally making the trip. What an utter disappointment. The food was okay but the noise was unbearably loud and the waiters/waitresses was acted like they were doing you a favor. To top it off, it was overpriced. Never again!

Stale bread
Selected from list of best rated italian restaurants in Philly, cute place, bread was supposed to be excellent, was mediocre, probably from day before. Lasagne was mediocre, salad dissapointing, do not go out of your way to visit this one.
