Great Food but Poor Service
The Good: The Food is some of the best Italian Food I've had. Comparable to the North End in Boston. The Bad: Every Table is about 4 inches from the next. Be prepared to share your conversations. Every waiter around seemed friendly and helpful except mine. He tossed our bill at us. He NEVER came back to check on us. I had to ask the water guy for a soda and never got it. Then I asked my waiter when he finally was near us. By the time I got that soda that I asked for when I started eating, I had finished my entire meal. What was the point then? He was actually pretty rude in his mannerisms. I don't expect the whole TGI Fridays attitude but I DO expect to be treated just a little better than this. Especially at these prices. And the topper? Because of his service, I left him 15% tip (which is more than he deserved). This jerk had the nerve to walk up to another waiter in front of my fiance and say "You believe they only left me $8 dollars?" He was arrogant and must say that from what I could see, all the other waiters were exceptional. Friendly, helpful, smiling, came back to check and basically did their job. It's because of this service I will never return to Ralph's again. The best part? It was my birthday.

Passable
Heard some others liked it so gave it a try a few years ago...........didn't think the food was worth a return.

Pleasantly Surprised
My daughter & son in law decided to take me out for fathers day. Somewhere I've never eaten. A place called Ralph's in S.Philly. I've been to many Italian restaurants. This one had a friendly atmosphere from the valets to the waiters/servers. The entree was a veal parm with pasta. Very tasty portion with just the right amount of extras that made the ride worthwhile. I'm sure I'll be back soon.

Not recommended
I went to Ralph's for lunch with two friends on a weekday. When we walked in the staff totally ignored us and then acted like we were intruding. My friend had put his coat on the chair while we were seating ourselves so he could help me with my packages and the waiter basically yelled at him telling he couldn't take up two tables, which we weren't going to. After we sat down, he brought us bread and practically threw it at my friend! The food was average. We had sandwiches that I could have whipped up in my kitchen within 5 minutes. I have never experienced a more rude waiter in my entire life. There were other people already seated that were obviously "regulars", who were drinking bottles of wine and apparently they were more important than us. We felt like outcasts! I would suggest not even going!

Totally disappointed!
My sister & her husband took us to Ralph's for dinner a couple of months ago. I have lived in Queen's Village for the past 30 plus years & had never eatten there. The food was nothing to rave about & the price was ridiculous. No atmosphere! The interior was something out of the 40s with none of the good elements of that period.
