    We'll be back!

I used to pass the Rose Tattoo when I [drop]ped my daughter off at Hallahan. Keep meaning to go there. This week, we used Hilton points to spend a weekend away in our hometown. The RT was close by and the menu found on this site looked great, so we dicided to try it. The whole experience was delightful! Mary had the Crab Napolean starter and found it wonderful. I had the Honey Roasted Pear Salad and was equally pleased. For the entree, she had the Four Cheese Tortellini and I had the Grilled Pork Chop. The tortellini was creamy with mushrooms and chicken. The pork chop was about the size of three that you might get at the supermarket. IT was cooked to perfection, tender and juicy. We were seated in the back room which is nice, but not nearly as pretty as the front area which has hanging plants and wrought-iron railings. Think New Orleans or Savannah. We'll definitely go back.

    Worth it

I think it's weird that I'm submitting the first review on this site for Rose Tattoo. It's a popular place. I've only been there three times but it's always been busy. The food was great each time. I should warn you though that the jambalaya is really spicy. I had it the first time I went there, and I wondered if I was over-reacting, but the next time someone else at my table ordered it and he had the same result. Both of us love spicy food, but we were floored. The service has been great. I want to go back, but I always think about it on Sundays, and they're closed Sunday.
