Two words explain this establishment. "Complete Fail". So we had a restaurant dot com certificate to use and saw their menu online which looked appetizing and very well priced. Upon entering, knew this was going to be an experience. The bartender gets us a drink in a reasonable time frame and brings us a menu. So we order a bowl of tomato soup. She brings us out two cups without even asking us if we were splitting it. That was ok until we get the tab at the end and there is $1.50 sharing charge for sharing a bowl of soup. Soup was ok, but did have grit in it, assuming dirt from the tomatoes. Next we order the NY Strip. Not only was it a cheap piece of meat, but it was also spoiled. They also poured a cheap gravy over it. The mixed veggies were sliced as if they were grilled, but they were steamed and soggy. Of course this dish went back. At this point it gets very interesting. After having been served a bad meal and still hungry, we need to escape this torture, so its time to cash out. This is where we notice the $1.50 sharing charge for the bowl of soup. So, we complain to the bartender, and his response is "That's how we do it here." So they split a soup even though you don't want it split? Then he tells me to chill out. At this point he sends over the manager, Sean who has no customer service skills either. He says he is not removing the charge because this is Philly and we need to make money, and if we didn't want to pay the sharing charge we should have sent it back instead of eating it. He also mentions that he has been running the place for 20 years. That must be why they need to offer restaurant dot com certificates because he is doing such a great job managing this joint that you cant even call an establishment. He also tells us the steak we sent back could not be bad because it wouldn't have cooked as rare as it did? Are you serious! Unfortunately, we took that 1.50 out of the waiters tip, and it was well deserved for his bad attitude. So overall, this place is a complete fail. The patrons were low class, the whole building wasn't the cleanest with a bad atmosphere, and the food was just horrible. I am sure if they continue with the horrible customer service and poor quality food, they will be out of business or under new management sooner than later.

This place has poor food and rude service. I guess you could say it is rotten.

If you'd like to have a great cheesesteak or an entree, go to Rotten Ralph's and watch the game! Great bar in which people people watch with a wood burning stove upstairs where you can watch the flames burn in winter.
