    Don't be fooled

Even though the drinks were excellent,The food was bland at best. The menu does not show the true taste of the caribbean culture. The coconut shrimp didn't have true coconut flavor and the dishes that make this culture famous aren't even on the menu. You can't have a caribbean menu without the classics such as : 1) curry chicken, 2) Stew Chicken, 3) Curry Goat, 4) Various Roti, 5) Stew Chicken, 6) Fish, etc. To best describe it, the food seems as if it's caribbean with a more European flavor. Any one who is not familiar with the cultural food will be taken for a loop if this is their first experience. Again, go there for the drinks and atmosphere but don't eat anything more than an appetizer.

    Not worth the trip

They have over 200 different rums and a very small menu for food. The menu has about 10 entrees and 8 appetizers. The shrimp and pinepple, it was literally 3 shrimp sitting on pineapple, no flavor whatsoever. The jerk chicken quesadillas were pretty tasty, but damn it was the smallest thing ever. They literally took 1 and cut it into quarters. The crab cakes had no taste, and the cornbread they should feed to the birds. There were 5 of us in our party. 4 ordered appetizers and all 5 of us had 2 drinks each. The bill was a toe crippling $200!! We left there and said "ok, where do we go eat now?"

Not as awesome as it looks

My friend and I went here for restaurant week and even though they provided lots and lots of food to try for the amount, we were sorely disappointed. The appetizers were okay at best all though the jamaican beef patties were wayyyyyy too greasy. I also tried the conch fritters which were probably barely any conch and tasted really weird. The sea bass was pretty good, but beware of their dessert. My friend found a piece of plastic on her rum cake that came from the packaging because they DON'T even make them themselves. It's too pricey to be worth the disappointment in my opinion. Some of the food was also way too spicy to be enjoyable like their mac and cheese which is full of chipotle pieces.

Good for drinks but not food!

Restaurant ambiance and decor is really nice but it is very small. Great for its bar scene but food portions are very small and not that tasty. The Jerk Chicken Wings are sooo dry! This is not "Caribbean" food. The Paella had so much salt in it. The Chocolate Godiva Mojito was not good! I've definitely tasted better! Service was good though.

    Cool spot, Small portions

The atmosphere at the Rum Bar was really cool. Good music, nice bartenders, pretty good service...however, the space is tiny and the food is a rip off. The portion size is extremely small! I would definitely go for the drinks and drink specials, but if you're even the least bit hungry go somewhere else and eat or be prepared to spend much more than you would on food.
