Excellent BYOB with phenomenally great farm to table food. Warm & comforting ambiance. Starters:3 had ravioli with egg, ricotta & 5g black truffles (both inside & on top of ravioli)($32),well worth it, deliciously silky creamy butter/cream sauce,cut into the pasta & sunny side egg bursts out, mixing with the cream, truffles, etc. Ask for a spoon for this dish; memorable bite. Tuna carpaccio: buttery tonno meets creamy eggs & tart beets, great; Cauliflower gratin: A++; pork belly: incredibly tender. Scallops: fresh, sweet, perfectly cooked with earthy carrots,onions & potatoes. Desserts are just as special, esp. anything with ice cream. BYOB makes splendid dining reasonable & good for lacto/ovo vegetarians & carnivores alike.

I give it a 5, and over 300 reviewers on Open Table give it 4.2 for food. Everyone is entitled to his/her opinion, but the only thing frozen at Russet is the ice cream!

I was really excited to try this place, especially since they supposedly use fresh ingredients. The first red flag was when they had no record of my reservation. Service was okay, albeit a bit rushed, but okay overall since they didn't rush us out. I will warn you though, DISHES ARE WAY OVERPRICED. I would have preferred going to Pumpkin or Matyson, getting more food that actually tasted good, and leaving happy. None of us like our dishes. No flavor, no seasoning. We will never return. Sorry, to say it nicely, don't waste your hard earned money or time. Fresh ingredients? Ummm it was frozen...
