An Oasis
My husband's business is in South New Jersey and when I come up from Mississippi to visit him, we always make a special date night by going to Philly to the Sahara Grill. The building is a little dated, but the quality of the food and service much more than makes up for the building. We have had many memorable meals and conversations around their tables. The food is ALWAYS fabulous and our service has ALWAYS been great. We usually order more than we can eat that night so we can have leftovers the following day. We are so grateful to have found Sahara Grill. I hope they will be there forever.

one of my favorites
i love this place, my daughter got a menu when she was a med student at a nearby hospital and we came and loved everything about it and have been coming back ever since, not only is it my favorite middle eastern restaurant, it is one of my favorite restaurants ever

Really a great place.
While they play great middle eastern music, the visual atmosphere could use a bit more pizzazz. And the service is just sometimes okay. BUT they are ALWAYS friendly and polite, if not the speediest. I really love this place for their food. In Canton, this is IT for meditarrean food. Sometimes I feel like the portions are a bit small, or the prices are a bit much, but go to a big city, where you'll pay a lot more for the same. If you really want a value for your money, get the buffet. OH.. and the deserts are made just for them. INCREDIBLE deserts. I LOVE going here, and make a point of coming to this restaurant for special occasions. I would come more often, but it is price prohibitive for me, but that's only because I'm a poor man. Still...... When I do the spare cash to dine in a nice place, this is where I really love to come and really enjoy tasty food. They're recipes are tasty and flavorful.

Never returning
The food has been adequate as this is the closest Middle Eastern restaurant to our office. But after an incident yesterday, I'll not return. We called in an order (2 sandwiches only) that included a lamb and beef. Got back to my desk to find it had lettuce only, no meat, no falafel, nothing. Called back to get it replaced and upon arrival collected the new order. Got back to my desk again and see that they substituted chicken for lamb and beef. Called and person on the phone said they were out of lamb - but didn't think it necessary to say so before handing over the chicken sandwich. When I took it back, the chef said they did have lamb. Generally the reviews about the stark to inadequate service shown on this site are correct. We've eaten in a few times and it's only been moderately better. Time to find a better option.

Good food, fair service
For the most part, Sahara Grill is a good place to grab a bite. However, they are not very accommodating to requests (I'm sorry but if I'm dishing out the money, then why can't I sub tabboulli for salad?) Anyways, aside from never receiving a refill or asked how my food was, it was an overall okay experience. The baba is smokey and delicious, and the grape leaves are homemade, where as a lot of times you can tell they're out of a can..

Tasty food and fair price in a no-fuss atmosphere
Ate here two weeks ago with my family and my daughter is asking to go again. The food is full of flavor and very comforting. Wondering if they will sell me a bucket of their silky smooth hummus to go!
