My Favorite Restaurant on the Main Line.
Great fresh, quality food at a reasonable price. The big bowl noodle soups are great as are the peking duck rolls. Crispy shrip rolls rock! There isn't anything that we don't love.

Sang Kee - Over-priced and taste empty
Sang Kee in the Wynnewood shopping ctr is typical of a strip mall restaurant - overpriced and incredibly tasteless food. Though it is not in a strip mall it might as well be. Tonight I ordered coconut shrimp as an appetizer and vegetarian pad thai mildy spicy for dinner. Both were incredibly unappetizing. The shrimp were cold and dry. The phad thai was lumpy noodles and stuck together, virtually no tofu, maybe one or two peanuts, no discernible sauce, with the dish "filled" to look like a hefty serving with lots and lots of sliced peppers and a few snow peas. When I ordered this evening, around 6:10 the background noise was incredible - even more incredible was that it would be "45 to 50 minutes" - for a simple takeout of two pretty plain vanilla items. To whit: avoid this place. My simple takeout cost me $19.08 and was completely overpriced.

Didn't live up to expectations
Based on the reviews here, we expected something pretty good. We ordered take out and were extremely disappointed. Placing the order was difficult, as the restaurant was so noisy, we had to shout for the person on the phone to hear us. The "slightly breaded sesame chicken with lemon sauce" was dry and at times tough, and the sauce had very little flavor. It was like eating sesame chips. The Four Seasons was nothing special and the portion was extremely small. For the price, it was not worth it to us. We were also told we could not get a side of fried rice because they were out of it.

So good!
Like everyone else, I'm in love. Well worth the price (which isn't THAT bad considering the area). You get what you pay for.

Hard to Beat
Sang Kee Asian Bistro in Wynnewood is almost the best you will ever find. Only one chinese restaurant beats it.... and that's the original Sang Kee in Chinatown. I don't know why, but even though they have many of the same menu items, the dishes always taste a little bit better downtown. That's especially true for the Pork Tenderloin (known as Peking Spare Ribs at the Chinatown location). Without a doubt, you must try the Roast Pork WonTon Noodle Soup. It's a complete meal by itself (but remember to leave room for some entrees).
