Too Expensive.
The restaraunt is very nice, food is great. But the price of food is too much.

Finally! Good Chinese food thats not rubber!
In love with this place. I took my niece here ystrdy and I have never been so happy w Chinese food in my life. I find when I go to Chinese restaurants that the service is always lacking. Not here. We were seated right away, they were very kind to us and the food was delicious. And they didn't hover over us like we were gonna run out on our bill like other Chinese restaurants that I've been to. The waiter and waitress' mafees great impression. Highly recommended. I'll be going back soon!

Stick to what you know....
I recently got take out from here. I went astray from what i usually order and got the Chicken Chow Mein. Definitly not what I had expected no noodles just a gelatinous mess in a take out container that I ended up throwing away. The fried rice was great though and my co-worker raved about the chicken and broccoli and the service was exceptional. Moral of this story : Stick to what you know. I would eat here again just not the Chow Mein...ughhh

It took nine years
It's been nine and I have yet to find a good Chinese restaraunt in the Pottstown/Gilbertsville area. I will still have to look for a good one, but I found a great one in Jannie's on Ridge Pike in Royersford. It was their Grand Opening Weekend and from the moment we entered the restaurant, we knew we were in for an experiene. The decor was modern without being cold or austere and the maitre d' who stopped by our table frequently was friendly and helpful. We needed help with the menu so his visits were not the least bit intrusive or annoying. On his second visit he introduced us to the owner and executive chef who answered many of our questions. One question concerned their seafood "rolls" which he said must be exprienced since words would not do. Shortly thereafter we were presented with a full sized portion of their Star Roll. It was excellent, alternatively sweet, hot and tangy. The four of us loved it as we did our entries that followed. Upon completing our meal, the maitre d' introduced us to the chef who prepared the "Star Roll" and two of our entrees, Steak Jannie and the Rainbow Seafood. They still have a few problems to shake out as they have still to receive their liquor license and are not yet prepared for their soon to be extensive deset menu --- the green tea ice cream though was surprisingly good. I was about to give them a 4.5 for value. Yes they were pricey if you consider the cost of the 5-minute to table store front restaurants that abound in this area, but no they are not pricey at all if you go by what some of the better restaurants in the area charge for their fare. We will look forward to coming again and again and again...
