Went there for a bachlotette party. The service was excellent and the food was great. We had 16 in the party and had a varity of items on the menue and everyone was great..Cute little place. 4/2009

My husband and I recently paid a visit to Sapphire. After we waited a good 20-25 minutes for someone to take our order, my husband finally went to the bar to order. (It was not crowded!) The bartender told him she would tell a waitress to come take our order. We waited another 20 minutes (I was looking at my watch at this point). Nobody ever came. Sadly, we decided to cut our loses and leave. It was annoying, but we got over it. Later, at the end of our evening, we decided to give them another try because their specials are really pretty good. As we walked into the bar area, a man, I’m assuming the owner or manager, stopped us and told us we had to leave and would not be served or allowed on the premises. I was sure they had the wrong people, and I tried to explain what had happened before, but this man was not hearing it. They said we ordered and ran. I didnt even think the bartender had taked our order because we never heard anything! It was totally embarrassing. I had expected them to be apologetic about before....it was ironic to say the least. We will never go there again, of course. I will never suggest this place to anyone.

Cold and unwelcoming atmosphere with alluring happy hour specials that required the clientele to wait 20 minutes before being graced with the attention of the narcissistic wait staff.

I am from Oregon and heard about Manayunk as a shopping destination. We decided to sit down for happy hour for a drink and the cheese burger special that they were advertising. It was so tastey and fresh on a toasted bun with excellent spicey fries, and an incredible value. I may skip the shopping next time and head straight to Sapphires to try what else they have on the menu!

Every place has its ups and downs, and Sapphire is one of them. I have been here several times and it has been good and so so. The atmostphere has never changed. When it is slow, its early night, but there has not been a time when i have been there around 11 and it has not been full. I give it four stars out of five and as far as the manager goes, great guy, handsome man, excellent work.

I recently went out in Manayunk on a Friday night and went to a few places, but Sapphire was by far the best. The waitresses were friendly and incredibly hot. The food was excellent, I recccomend any of the pasta dishes...delicious. There was a fun crowd, strong drinks, and loud music, the right combination for a perfect friday night! I havent had that much fun in months! Spread the word....Sapphire is the place to be.

I live in Manayunk and I find myself always dining at Sapphire. I think the food is wonderful and the service is excellent. I love the atmosphere, it gives you the feel of being at a tendy night club in center city. Loud music playing, dim lights and they serve food till 1:00 am! I would recommend this resturant/bar to anyone.
