THE place for sushi in East Falls / Manayunk

The only reviews here are for the Chinese portion of the menu, which you can get in a few places in our neighborhoods. However, if you want to get sushi, you have to drive all the way into center city or chinatown... NOT! The rolls are delicious, and prepared very quickly. This place is always lightly populated when I go in, so the service is prompt and attentive. The sashimi is fresh, and put together well.

    my favorite restaurant

i go here sometimes by myself for a quick lunch but usually just order delivery. the service is always good considering there is no one else there but you might end up waiting 45-60 minutes for delivery. the food, particularly the sushi is great. the lobster rolls are amazing. ive tried all the appetizers and they're all pretty good too. as far as meals, i usually stick to general tso chicken which is very tasty and sake don (salmon sushi on rice). the only downside to this place is it can be a little expensive but if you get there during the 12-3 for the lunch specials, its not bad.

    So-so food & delivery...

General Tso's was a little soggy. Pork fried rice was ok, nothing special. Egg roll was the best part. Delivery was slow. Wouldn't order again.

    Poor Hospitality

I ordered food tonight and after the delivery driver showed up my order was 10$ more than I had been previously told on the the phone. The driver then gave me an attitude when I was short cash and had to call into the restaurant with my CC number. Once opening the bag the sushi I ordered was improperly made and when I called into the restaurant to ask to have my correct the order the person told me I never made that request and they would come pick my food up and get me new sushi in 25-30 minutes which I think is long since they were the ones to mess up the order.... long story short it has been 55 minutes and they have yet to pick up/ or correct my order!

The only place to go to!

For those of you that live in manayunk, you know that there really isn't any good Chinese food in the area. However, Shan Chuan is actually really good. It is about $1-2 more expensive for each dish, but well worth it. Service is pretty good but nothing special, pretty quick delivery. I love chinese food and I go nowhere else now! I hope this helps

    My favorite Place Ever

I LOVEEEE this restaurant. I have had almost everything on the menu and it is SPECTACULAR. The people are so nice and they deliver SO fast. I once got sushi delivered to me 8 min after I called. I HIGHLY recommend and I take all my friends there. I also love their egg [drop] soup. #1 ever.

    Greasy, but Tasty

The food is too greasy for my liking, but some things such as the fried rice and miso soup are both very tasty. The pork is good, but the shrimp is not that great. We ordered a variety of 3 things - small size and shared and still had a ton of leftovers. My guest greatly enjoyed the food, as he doesn't mind greasy...kind of the like the equivilent to a good diner. The staff was all very pleasant and friendly, and the decor was mediocre; nothing special, but nicely put together. I would go there again as long as I was not ordering fried food.
