Go here - this place is amazing. The servers are friendly and attentive, the food is AMAZING and plentiful (I usually take home leftovers, which can then be stretched for another 2 meals), and the restaurant itself charming.

I've eaten at Smile Cafe more than a dozen times. The food is consistently tasty, fresh and satisfying. One order of cabbage salad at $4.00 is a great first course to share. The dressing is tangy and authentic, not Americanized. Main courses are modestly priced, offering a wide selection of seafood, meat and vegetarian choices . The service is fast and friendly. The other diners in the restaurant always look happy, frequently they are romantic couples or small gatherings of friends. If you dine alone, WiFi is free. The walls features a frequently-changing display of modern oil paintings. This small restaurant is the kind we root for because it makes our city unique, diluting the saturation of chain restaurants in Philly.

I love the food and service - the atmosphere is romantic and the prices are great. It's one of my favorite places in Philly.

I've tried Thai food from a lot of places in Philly. Most are pretty good, but every once in a while, they've missed the mark with greasy food, mixed-up orders, or even one time, leaving plastic wrap in the food. Smile Cafe's food is consistently quality and priced reasonably. The restaurant is cozy, but the service is great. Ideal for takeout as well.

I have tried just about every Thai restaurant in Center City and West Philly, and Smile Cafe is undoubtedly the best. Everything on the menu is perfectly prepared and spiced, and the crispy duck, spicy seafood noodles, and green curry are especially addictive. The service is always friendly and attentive, and the BYO policy is great. I can't recommend Smile Cafe highly enough my only complaint is that it's too far from my house for me to eat there every day!

Smile Cafe is really tasty. My boyfriend and I have never actually eaten in the restaurant, but the meal we had delivered was excellent. Considering it was Valentine's Day and they sounded super busy over the phone, our meal arrived incredibly fast in under a half hour. Smile Cafe makes a fabulous Pad See Ew and their Drunken Noodles are wonderful. They put chicken as well as really tender shrimp in both our dishes a nice surprise considering we forgot to specify which type of meat we wanted. Their dumplings are fantastic! The wrappers were delicate and didn't overwhelm the ginger, corn, and meat filling. The sauce that accompanied the dumplings was really unusual and yummy, as well. I'd definitely recommend trying this restaurant.
