Very so-so
A friend was recommended to Snack Bar because everyone at work said it was the best. The food was very ok - sea bass was very fishy, pork belly was just ok, nothing amazing. Pierogies were good, but too small - had to order a second plate. Not much of a beer selection, other drinks overpriced. I was treated so I can't specifically talk about the price, but it seemed way overpriced for this small corner restaurant. I was not impressed.

Snack Par
I have to agree with the other reviews, this place was terrible and not worth the wait or cost. If you're in the area go somewhere else.

You'll love it
Once again... the first reviewer and the one a few after that must be inexperienced diners--meaning: used to getting $4.50 white zin from the olive garden and spending 6.99 for a full plate of premade, maybe frozen, whatever. Well, welcome to 2007/the real world/philly/what have you kids-- assuredly the wine at snackbar is not beringer white zin, and the food is fabulous. learn to spend money like an adult, and not a penny-scraping teenager from jersey... wake up people....!

Too loud and not worth the cost
My husband and I decided to have drinks here and what a disappointment. The glasses of wine were ten dollars each and there was little to choose from since they did not offer the other listed wines. They did not have them in stock for some reason--furthermore, it was so loud it was hard to have a conversation and the party next to you literally felt as though you were rubbing elbows with them but not in the way you'd like to. Overall, the experience left us wishing we had never walked in.

great spot
I also disagree with the first review. Small plates are advertised, and priced accordingly. 5 oz .pours of wine always look small in over sized glasses, actually 1/3 a glass is quite generous. Anyhoo, the food was great and well thought out. Some dishes we had to order twice because they were so good we needed more. Service is friendly and laid back. Very warm atmoshpere. Cant wait to go back and try it out for coffee in the morning.

Absolutely fabulous - my new favorite!
This place is a fantastic addition to the Rittenhouse - a tapas bar with a coffeehouse vibe, where you can sit around an actual table in comfortable chairs and have drinks and audible conversation with friends. The food is excellent, with interesting flavor combinations, and the service is excellent - the second time we went (with a much larger group and dressed completely differently), a waitress actually remembered my husband's dietary preferences and told our server so that the food would be as he preferred. We were shocked when he returned to confirm! We were also brought several free 'tasting' dishes and got VERY generous pours (I have no idea what the first reviewer means - the wine is a fabulous value anywhere, let alone a Rittenhouse bar, and it's a tapas bar - of course the portions are small - that's why you only pay $6-10 per dish and get several!). Our bill that was surprisingly low, and I'll be coming back every time I meet up with friends.

Go here
This place is not at all what the other review says. The food is delicious and pairs very many interesting foods together and makes them taste amazing and they have a great selection of wine and beer to choose from. The atmosphere is modern and the staff is friendly and helpful.
