Went to Spamps for the first time for dinner and drinks last night. I had the crabcake which was delicious. My husband had sushi which he loved (finally a place in Conshy that serves sushi - and it is good sushi to boot!) I thought the atmosphere was cool and fun- nice but not stuffy! We will return for sure.

The restaurant has a great look. But it's trying to be something it's not. It appears the owners are trying to create an up-scale dining experience. However, we had an inexperienced 18-21 y/o server, and the food was very average. We ordered both sushi and dinner. The sushi was just fine and not worth 12 bucks a roll. The filet was, again, just fine. The grilled chicken Brest had no flavor and with rice and vegetables that we could have made at home for less than $2. We still haven't received our 4th glass of water (there were 4 in the party). Twice the server tried to clear items I was still using. They need a better staff and a new chef. Overall, a huge disappointment for the new local resturant. We may go back to the bar, but not to the restaurant. We'd recommend Gypsy Saloon or Stella Blu as alternatives in the area.

The hostess was rude, we had asked for a table away from smoking ,(we had a 5:30 reservation) and she tried to seat us at a table closest to the bar area. The food had no taste and was very expensive. The waiter was outstanding though.

We gave Spamps a try last week and we're very disappointed. The food was not bad but for the cost we would have done much better on the Main Line. The service on the other hand was not bad but certainly far from professional. I don't mind paying for upscale food and service but Spamps does not deliver on either. Hopefully things will improve in the future since it is fairly new. I don't think I'll be back to find out.

To the poster who thought she was in NY, WHERE in NY is my question? This is an average place, with a staid menu and high prices for what it is. Once was enough for me. No match for Pepperoncini's, Stella, Gypsy, Fayette Grill and Totaros...more on the Great American Pub level.

A few of my girlfriends and I had dinner at Spamps last night- and we all loved it! Walking in, we felt like we were at a restaurant in New York. The food was delicious, and our server was amazing. We all raved about it all night, and can't wait to go back!
