Inconsistent, some dishes outstanding, others so-so, or varying from night to night. Expensive and chilly. Friendly service from the guys. My Chinese friend swears it's the only place clean enough to get their fried rice. He trusts their kitchen, so I do, too. The Peking Duck is very disappointing. Hurricane Shrimp are terrific, spring rolls great, most dishes won't dissapoint.

Though the price point seemed right all we got was typical, boring, run of the mill Chinese food. Certainly not worth the money. FYI - also not BYO. We won't be back.

The delivery service at Square on Square is second to none. I'm 8 blocks away and the food often comes in less than 20 minutes after I've placed my order. The chicken is of excellent quality and this is the most solid american-chinese food in the area.

I have been to several Chinese restaurants, but I must say that Square on Square beats them all. The name seems stand offish, but my friend insisted that I try it. Was she ever right! The food is delicious and the waiting time is minimal. I had egg drop soup, a beverage, and my entree all in 1 hour and 15 minutes or less.

Probably best chinese in Rittenhouse area, but sadly no longer BYO. Prices have also gone up slightly at the same time. I recommend the garlic chicken.

Based on the other reviews, I gave this place a shot for dinner today. What a mistake! Their chicken is the worst I've ever had: Grossly overcooked and somehow extremely dry and somewhat slimy at the same time. It looks like a used chew toy and tastes like what I would imagine a used chew toy tastes like. This "meal" cost me $11.50not $8.50 like Square on Square's own Web site says.

The food is pretty good. Attentive service was an added plus. Definitely a step up from your run-of-mill Chinese takeout.
