Food Network Top 50 Pizzas in America

Being from New Haven, I am a bit snobby about great pizza. Saw Tacconelli's on Food Network as one of the top 50 pizza places in America and decided to go. Not disappointed at all. My son said it was better than New Haven pizza. My guest from Texas said it was best pizza she ever had.

    Don't waste your money

We ate here on Mar 19th 2011. Five of our pizzas were burnt but 2 were not. We showed the waitress the VERY black and burned ones, and she replied that it's just how the oven cooks them! Yet two of our pizzas had a perfectly cooked and unburnt crust. The mushrooms were canned; NOT fresh. Barely any cheese, watery sauce. They do NOT give free refills on fountain drinks! It was so disappointing I had to write my 1st review ever of any restaurant. I have never before been so upset at the quality of a restaurant's food. BIG waste of time! Save your money. I grew up in Philly and all my family still lives there. All they serve is pizza, No salads nor pastas.... just pizza. I was happy with the menu but my wife wishes they'd have offered something else aside from pizza. I was happy with the menu, but VERY disappointed with the food. Yuck. I LOVE PIZZA and would NOT eat there again even for FREE! Oh.. I am a HUGE pizza fan and have almost never had a pizza I didn't like; until now.

    Take what you can get

Love their pizza, any pizza. Numerous times I have called in pizzas andbeen given a time. Get there and have been denied my pie. So I take whatever pizza they have ready. I don't care what I get just give me a pie! Food is good service is not.

At Least Give it a Whirl!

It really is good pizza..nice crust, it is both crispy and doughy; quality cheese, and nice sauce recipie, not sweet and I like that! However, it IS overrated, service was snobby as well. It is good though, just not as good as you would think!

This is an over rated pie

The crust was burnt, the tomatoe used was a cheap quality and the cheese was even cheeper. You must be kidding. This 12 inch pie is a poor excuse for a quick cooking potato chip. Never again.
