Great Thai and Asian Fusion Cuisine
I always hesitate to write extremely favorable reviews for neighborhood restaurants for the fear that they will get too popular and overcrowded. Tamarind Thai a great spot with a huge variety of items on the menu. The service is outstanding. There are no corkage charges for BYOB and the prices continue to be very competitive in the Asian restaurant market. Their traditional items like curries and Pad Thai are superb. Their fish is always very fresh and beautifully prepared. Their appetizers are varied and excellent. The veggie dumplings are fresh and flavorful. The Tamarind Rolls, a variation on Vietnamese Summer Rolls are fresh and savory. This is a great little neighborhood place which you are greeted with a smile and elegant service.

Best Thai Food!
This is the best Thai food in Philadelphia! I love going to this quaint restaurant located on South Street. The pad thai is outrageously yummy but everything we have had has impressed our pallets. Every time we have guest intown we take them here! And who can beat the prices! Simply amazing!

I and a companion went to Tamarind on St. Patty's day . My friend had never eaten thai food before and I knew that if she like it was I had done my job teaching her the fine art of thai food. We had a wonderful time enjoying our meals. If you have friends or loved ones who enjoy fine food I highly recommend Tamarind. When you are there it feels as if no other people are around. It is very warm, cozy and very intimate. Go ahead take someone there and you will see exactly what I mean.

Awesome Thai!
This is one of the best Thai places anywhere! The pad thai is stupendous, the service is friendly and is conveniently located. We go here a lot and the food is always wonderful!

Great value.. great location
I have always been a fan of this place. I NEVER write reviews for places I eat at and this is my first, just because it is sooo good.....if you like Thai, you must try!!! I like that rhyme.
