I left my husband in charge of the Valentines plans. To my surprise he made reservations at Tandoor India. We've never been there before. All I can say is it was a wonderful Valentines Dinner. Food was great, we had Shrimp Korma and Lamb Tikka Masala. They had roses for all of us. Truly a wonderful night, now on a short list of neighborhood gems. One last thing, we are going to have a birthday party there, they showed us their new party room.

I've been eating at Tandoor India for years. The place is consistently good. Recently the owners retired and the new owners are making huge strides in appearance, food taste and quality, service and making the menu more healthy. I recommend Tandoor for anyone looking for a great neighborhood Indian restaurant in University City.

It had been a while since Tandoor India was great, but with the new owners and the renovations, there is no better Indian restaurant in Philadelphia. They have the least greasy buffet in the city. I've been to them all and hate to see those puddles of oil. Their food has more flavors than the competition in University City. And to me, what is just as important as the food is that they don't hover over you pushing you out the door. The staff is great and very accommodating. If you used to go to this place, give it another try, you'll be glad you did.

I have loved Tandoor India for many years, but the place had gotten old. Not any more. New owners have made major improvements in the food and atmosphere. The buffet is one of the best around, but lately, I have been ordering off their new menu. Healthier options, low oil and less cream are available.

If you are looking for a place to call "yours" this is it. I've been going on a weekly basis for years and am never disappointed. There are fancier places, but this is "my place." They greet me when I walk in. The food is consistently good. The only thing I would have complained about is the decor and they are renovating now. There are new owners and they are breathing new life into this University City staple.

I went three different times and sad to sad, they did not improve the buffet. Food was dry, tough meats, and i was shocked my last visit when a group of big brawny dudes came in and they did not replenish!!! Couldn't believe it! Yes they are cheaper, but that says it right there. Altogether the quality of the buffet is poor.

Business Lunch and they delivered (unlike Sitar). Had a variety of items and we made our own buffet. It was all delicious!! Everbody went back for seconds and thirds. Items purchased: Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Karahi, Chilli Chicken, Shrimp Curry, Saag Punjabi, Veggie Biryani, Samosas, Pakora, Naan. Nothing was bad, everything was flavorful. Wish there was more left for lunch now!
