    Comfortable, uncrowded, friendly

I endorse Susan's previous review. I would add: Tasteful decor of browns beiges, live guitar music on Fridays, Saturdays, young, friendly wait staff, portions a little too big, tasty food, but not for dieters! Portuguese, Brazilians do eat here, neighborhood is okay, but not for walking around, specials every night - $11 and up, can eat in slightly cheaper, much noisier, sports bar upstairs

    Well worth the drive...

I'm a frequent business traveler from out of town staying in King of Prussia. I decided to try Taste of Portugal because I recall having some great Portuguese meals on Cape Cod and in NYC. While this place was a bit of drive from KOP, it was well worth the trip. I arrived early and had the whole downstairs restaurant section to myself. The waiter was very friendly and even went to get the manager, who spoke better English. I asked about their sangria and was given a choice of either a glass or small pitcher. I was told that the pitcher equaled about 2 1/2 glasses. Well that sangria was the best ever! It was absolutely wonderful! Be forwarned though, that the "small" pitcher served SIX full glasses! And at only $9 a pitcher it was a terrific value. I was then given a very generous plate of olives that were quite tasty (and had a garlicky flavor) and a couple of warm dinner rolls that were also very good. The salad was very fresh and light. For the main course I ordered the lobster with garlic shrimp. I thought it was going to be stuffed with shrimp but they came on a separate plate with what I think was a very light olive oil, garlic and paprika sauce. It was like getting a combination appetizer and main course. The shrimp were absolutely delicious and so was the lobster. Both were cooked perfectly. I even detected a hint of garlic with the lobster. I'm a big garlic fan so I was in heaven. The real surprise was the thick cut, home-made potato chips that came with the lobster. They were plentiful and very, very good. What a refreshing change from the usual french fries or baked potato! I was so full by the time I was done that there was no room for dessert. But I heard their flan is excellent so I ordered some to take back to the hotel to be enjoyed later. This place was an incredible find and I will definitely be coming back on later trips. I would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys good seafood, simply but perfectly prepared.
