My girlfriend and I went with another couple to Tequila's on a Saturday night, looking for a fun dinner. The food was overpriced, and it was only "ok." The staff was completely unaccomodating (e.g., wouldn't less us place drink orders before we ordered food). The staff also took our dishes as we were literally finishing our last bite. Even though we finished in about an hour (bc they rushed us) AND we tipped them 20%, they STILL tried to hustle us out of the restaurant. They wouldn't even let us keep our water at the table!

I live in NY, and I've been to a lot of great Mexican restaurants. This place is excellent. Excellent service. The waitstaff was so nice and top of everything. The food was great. I had the guacamole and the conchita pibil. My friend had chicken with mole. We both loved the dishes. The dipping sauces for the churros were excellent too.

We went with a party of 10 and they wouldn't seat us even though 8 of us were there and the other two were stuck in traffic that made them 20 minutes late. Manager was unapologetic and had us wait in the lobby (bar was full) instead of seating us at our table, which we could see from where we were standing. Wrote to owner, he responded with condescending tone and apology was laced with sarcasm. Claimed it was policy and that most places have this policy. That's not true at all. Food is fine, no better than other Mexican restaurants in the area. Spend your money elsewhere, Philly is too great a restaurant city to eat somewhere that can't even apologize for rude staff properly.

The food here is great- I love the mole chicken. The margs and sangria could use a little more booze, but otherwise no complaints. Servers are always attentive and funny. I like eating in the bar area- despite it being a traffic zone, the darker room and more intimate tables make for fun atmosphere.

We went to this place to celebrate my dad's birthday and must say it was the best mexican food I've ever had. We had to wait about 45 minutes for a table but it was most definitely worth the wait. The service was excellent. Our waiter was friendly and provided us with everything we needed. The food was simply amazing. I've never had such good Mexican food ever. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone. My mom is a vegetarian and they made a special vegetarian plate for her, which she loved. It was a wonderful experience, and if you've never been to this place, what are you waiting for?

This is a great upscale mexican restaurant in Philly! If you're looking to find a Mexican-influenced meal, this is one of the best bets around town. Their tilapia dish with guacamole and mango salsa is delicious. Great atmosphere with great drinks rounds out a great evening. Highly recommended.
