Three Monkeys Cafe

Food is good but a bit expensive for a small neighborhood bar. Most of the bartenders are unfriendly and take a while to wait on people, even when it's not crowded. For the amount of money you pay for drinks there you should get better service.

This place is so unprofessional! They constantly over charge for their orders. The amounts never match whats on the menu. Also for the amount of food provided, it's extremely over priced! The atmosphere is very tight and uncomfortable! I would not recommend this place to my friends and family.

We made reservations for a party of 10 in the back room. When we arrived we were told that we would have to basically dine and dash as they booked a bridal shower for a short time after and we had to be out of there at a a certain time so they could prepare for the shower. The hostess was rude and blamed the double booking on a co-worker. We elected to go to the room out in the bar area so we would not have to rush and it was noisy and disruptive. It would have been nice if they could have compensated our inconvenience by a free beverage or something but we were treated like we were bothering them by being there. The waitress was nice but not very efficient and orders were taken incorrectly and we were never asked if we wanted a second beverage or anything. All of us have been there many times before but none of us will ever return.

I have heard and read many good things about this place and decided to go for lunch. What we could see of the decor it was pleasant and interesting (somewhat dark & dull). The music was to loud, just saying. Had to eat in the bar area, dining room not open. Service was decent. Food was excellent. As good as the food was I feel it was more then overpriced. There are other entities, near by, whose food is comparable and reasonably priced. Glad for the experience. Cannot find a reason to return.

3 Monkeys is a great place to hang out for just about anything... watch a game, have a few drinks with a significant other, bring a few friends... as long as you don't expect Gordon Ramsey in the kitchen. Ordering anything from the appetizer or pub food menus is fine! We came once for dinner and the entrees were just ok. But the Horny Monkey Ale and other draft beers are excellent and worth the trip by themselves. The service has always been pretty good. Great little place!

My bf & I have been here a few times over the past summer & love the outdoor cafe style seating (weather permitting). The service & drink selection were pretty good, however the food itself was a little less then average. Seems kinda crazy they would put so much effort into the atmosphere, but so little behind the food. I was very disappointed in my last meal, which consisted of overcooked tasteless calamari & A grilled chicken wrap, that was served cold. If your looking for a cute, romantic spot to have a few drinks, then this is the place to go. But if your counting on a decent meal, I'd probably pass. But who know. Maybe they'll improve over time!

My hubby and I have become two part-time "steadies" at the Monkees. We enjoy the wonderful chips and salsa, the soup and most of the sandwiches. I will say that the bartenders and the wait staff go overboard to make your stay pleasant here. We feel it is a very comfortable place to visit. Would not hesitate to come into the restaurant myself for lunch or dinner without a partner. My only complaint is that we have had some take-out sandwiches which were not as appetizing once we got them home. I understand there is a new chef on board, though, and the menu has been expanded. We look forward to spending many more happy visits at the Monkees and enjoying the carmaraderie and some very good food. Keep up the good work, Monkees.
