just ok
My wife, a Colombiana, and I drove to Tierra Colombia for my birthday dinner. The food came out just barely warm--it would have been very good if it had been hot. The patacones, fried plantains, had been cooked earlier in the day and did not taste or feel freshly cooked, too bad because it could easily be done better. The cheese cake had a piece of very old pineapple on it--, and the cake tasted old as well. My wife's cake of "tres leches" was okay, although, she did not like it very much. The "cubanito" coffee I had was not hot at all so I asked to have it heated, and when it came back it was fuller and hotter and much better. I was dissappointed with the food. I would think that restaurant that is so busy, although when we went it was only five in the afternoon, the food would be fresh and HOT, but not! It is a shame because it could be very good. The service was very slow and there was hardly anyone in the restaurant when we got there. I think the added 15% gratuity insures the servers of a certain amount so they do not have to worry about the service they provide which in most restaurants the $ earned is dependent on the service provided--I know, I have been a server for 35 years! I would not go back and will look for a more expensive latino restaurant for better everything.

Best meal!!
This is one of the best places to get a great meal there is nothing that I have disliked on the menu. I give this resturuant a 5 star. and now the parking is better across the street.

Awesome
This place is great. Very authentic. Better than what I've had in Miami. I go regularly. A previous review suggested that the staff learn English? The staff here speak Spanish and English plenty adequately. Don't change a thing, especially the grilled Cuban bread.

Que Bueno
Let me start by saying the food is top notch and tasty. When other patrons plates pass you say to yourself I have to get that next time. The servers are attentive and polite but need to master English just a bit. It's very homey yet elegant. You can wear jeans or a suit and both fit quite well. I have celebrated many an occasion there and recommend you do the same. Try the "Ropa Vieja" you will love it. Enjoy and Bien Provecho.

Good food, poor service
Food here is great! The service needs attention though. Frequently eat here and still waiting for good service....it does not seem to matter how many are in the party...2 or 12 has been my experience. There are 2 waitresses that are great but the rest need to learn about communication and customer service. The upsatirs is really nice for dancing but need to calm it on the " disco smoke"......enjoy the food and the drinks but be patient for the service.....

Fantastic!
If you've never eaten Latin food then this is the place to go.This place is absolutely FANTASTIC ! The portions are just enough. The prices are great! What more can you ask for. I recommend the Chicken in the creole sauce. It is wonderful. The mojitos are the best in the city! Parking is minimal BUT if you want good food who cares about the parking.
