beware of the new prices
Food is great most days. Used to frequent this place until, the drastic price changes. my usual dish went up almost $5 one day to the next. my husband's fave went up about $4. drinks also went up drastically. We ordered take out and weren't warned the prices went up. Got the surprise of having to pay an extra $15 on our usual order. Then to top it I had less food than usual.

It's a shame!
Last night we ate at the restaurant, the food was not what I expected. It took over 35 minutes to get served, once we got it it was disappointing. The nightclub was worse! We paid $40 to see a Salsa group "Porfi Baloa & Adolescentes" who are from Venezuela. We paid a VIP table and after 6 songs the group announced they could not continue with their performance due to NON PAYMENT from Tierra Colombiana's owner. It was a disaster! Everyone left unhappy and they refused to give our money back for our tickets. Don't waste your time with this place!

Best Octopus Salad
Best Octopus salad I have had in a while. Place was nice, prices were reasonable, and waiter was very friendly. First time for me to go there!

Embarassing, Disappointing
I made my first ever visit to Philly to meet my Colombian in-laws. These two elderly ladies carefully chose this restaurant to impress me. Being from S.C. I was excited to have authentic Colombian food. I was very disappointed. The food was neither very good, hot, timely, well priced, or even correct. They brought the wrong entrees to the wrong people, and one was completely incorrect. It was very embarrassing watching a waiter try to make a 67 year old woman feel like it was her fault he had misplaced the order. He made it seem that it would take a very long time to make her order. She refused to make her family wait to eat...we all pulled food from our own plates for her dinner and made the best of it. At the end of this all, ha told me (magnanimously) he had removed her item(that she did not get) from the bill, and still had the nerve to charge a 20% gratuity. If this had not been my first meeting with these gracious women, I assure you I would have handled it very differently...did I mention I am a Chef, THIS WOULD NEVER HAPPEN IN MY RESTAURANT!

there is authentic cuban food here
The person who stated that this is puertorican food and not cuban is obviously not familiar with cuban cusine. I am cuban. Some of the cuban food is similar to some of the puertorican food. The food in this restaurant is decent, the atmosphere is cozy, the service is good, the place is clean.

Love this place
Very good food. Very good service. A very close second to my Colombian abuela's food.
