Fantastic Indian take-out. I get take out from Tiffin about once a week (don't judge). It never, ever lets me down. I can't speak to the service that you get when you dine in or get delivery but when I pick up, it is always ready! The Chicken Korma is divine and I love the Lamb Roganjosh. I've had them both in India and, now I'm no expert, but I can't tell a difference - I would say it is as authentic as it gets. The naan is always super yummy. I'm a fan - what can I say. It is one of the highlights of Mount Airy, in my opinion.

Fresh, delicious and affordable!

Simply great Indian food. It's flavorful and delicious, much like their northern liberties parent location. That said, the owners only hold on to my business because the food is so good. Their customer service is consistently one of the poorest experiences I've ever had. Whether it's eat in or take out, they don't know how to take an order properly, they are surly and often border on rude. They've messed up my order twice, they have no manners over the phone and they make people wait needlessly. If you're picking up food, they have no name, number or other system. It's a free-for-all. Unless you're really craving Indian (for me that's pretty often) then go somewhere, anywhere else where the service warrants some customer loyalty. Good food though, can't argue with that.

The food wasn't at all bad for the price -- kind of standard for a decent Indian restaurant. They don't take reservations, and this is a problem. They implied that the wait would be short, but we were a party of four standing there for almost an hour, and they took parties of two from further back in the line instead of putting (available) tables together to acommodate us. Also, once seated, we had to rush through dinner to give up the table to other parties. If they expand spatially and start to take reservations, I'll try them again.

The food here, if you are a fan of really authentic Indian good, is disappointing. I have been there three times (I beleive in giving restaurants a fair chance) and each time has been more disappointing that the previous visit. This time I ordered the Lipti Subzi and Naan. Simple you would think. I had ordered the dish to be spicy. Here is what I got, huge chunks of over cooked frozen carrots, really under done beans, in the same undecipherable tomato base that goes into all their dishes with unstirred clumps of Chilly powder, and they ought to know that making a dish spicy does not mean you dole out tonnes of Chilly powder, I said spicy not hot with chilly powder. The naan was underdone on one side and burnt on the other. The mango pickle was made entirely out of onions, and the only thing that was remotely edible was the coriander/mint chutney. The accompaniment of dal. Oversalted and undercooked. The rice was clumpy and smushed in and probably mass packed over 12 hours ago. Need I say more?

The food is amazing and well priced for the portions you get. My only complaint is it seems like a small place and delivery takes 45min to an hour most nights.

After waiting 45 minutes when they said it was a 20 minute wait for a party of 3 we walked out mad and they couldn't care less. There was all parties of 2 only to see them give up a table of 4 to a couple when another table of 2 was opening up. Then when the next table of 4 was opening they said it was for a table of 10 they were waiting for.
