Mediocre
I don't understand the love of Tiffin. Delivery takes forever, and the food is expensive and bland.

consistently excellent
I have eaten in, picked up and ordered out from tiffin many many times. The service is always prompt and polite, the delivery staff brings my food warm and always within the stated time, and the food.. . Oh the food!! the depth and fragrance and texture. I've eaten at nearly every indian restaurant in philadelphia and tiffin is the best.

amazing
Wow. I am so surprised to see sooo many terrible reviews. Tiffin is amazingly delicious. For the price it is by far the best Indian food in Philadelphia. I can't imagine why all of these people had such a sub par experience. The food is well priced and 9.8 out of 10 times absolutely delicious. I had a bad take out experience once. Which is not bad considering I go about once a week. Give it a go, I think you will be in Indian food heaven.

Literally: forget about it
I ate lunch at tiffin recently. It was subpar. I can't imagine how it made best of Philly 2007. I ordered chicken tikka masala and it was as bland as bland could be. The ambience was poor enough, to make matters worse, the manager on duty was abrasive. All in all, the experience was disappointing. Skip this place. There are so many Indian places that are better.

Try out once
Butter chicken is awesome, perfectly indian. But the service is not good. But who cares for the service if the food is good. However, Biryani not up expectations. So going once and trying out is a good idea, hopefully u'll like it. Rest depends on your taste.

Disappointed
I *love* indian food. A couple of people at my office decided to try tiffin and naturally I was all for it. Prices compared to other indian restaurants are nothing special. The food itself was edible if you're hungry, but otherwise pass. All items, dal, main dish, and potatoes are watery and flavorless. They're overly spicy, but not in a good way. I like my food spicy, and I can handle a lot, but this is spicy for the sake of spicy and sacrifices the flavor of the food. not that food can be particularly flavorful when its that watered down. This alone would be reason enough not to ever order again, but half our order didn't arrive. (we ordered food for ten people, three people actually got to eat). attempting to get the delivery person to return and [drop] off the rest of the order proved impossible, and a refund was not forthcoming. In fact, we had to call and cancel the charge from the credit card company.

Good for indian delivery but expensive
It takes at least an hour and the food is good but, they raised the prices and now it just isn't worth it.
