Very Authentic, Very Delicious
When I lived in Japan, I never cared for takoyaki or okanomiyaki (Japanese pancake), but in the years I've been home, they both take me back to my life there. The owner made the takoyaki into delicate spheres Nihonshu goodness. The owner was the picture of Japanese alacrity--efficient while at the same time warm and welcoming.

Great food and service
I took a friend here for her birthday dinner because she wanted to try something unique. This totally fit the bill and the food was tasty and fresh. The owners were there preparing the food and helping the other cooks out in the kitchen; everyone was friendly and helpful with menu suggestions. I had the veggie curry and sweet miso takoyaki--both came to our table piping hot and delicious, as did my friend's takoyaki sampler and grilled vegetables. We split an order of the chocolate takoyaki for dessert--they were excellent! Overall, it was a great experience and I look forward to going back, either for dine-in (be warned, though, the space is pretty small) or take-out. I'm really glad we tried it and think you should, too!

Takoyaki=yummy
So I was really dying for some curry and looked up places to get some Japanese style curry, when I came across Maru Global, decided on going the next day. I was greeted warmly the minute me and my friend entered the place, we got menus and sat by the window. We placed our order and waited for the food. It came out to us faster than I expected and piping hot. What I loved the most was the owner brought out the food himself, I also liked that I could see him watching over the other cooks giving them pointers and makeing the takoyaki balls himself. Too Cute. My Takoyaki with octopus was AMAZING, I have to tell you that if you don;t mind octopus this is the filling to get, and it very inexpensive. $3.25 for 6 which is enough as a side dish to your meal. My Beef Curry was fab and my friends Ramen (which I grabbed a bite of) was yummy. They deliver but at the moment its only within 15 blocks of the place which works out great for when I'm at school. I can't wait to go there again. The cashiers are sweethearts, talk to them!
