I have lived in South Philly my whole life. One thing I can say is the food here has always been consistent and delicious! It hasn't changed. Keep it up tony Luke's!

Forget the hype about the other 2 places. TL's is by far the best cheesesteak I've ever had. And I've tried them all in Philly. If you don't like the service too bad, you're outside on a busy street not in a fance sit down place. And now they opened a bar right across the street that has incredibly cold beer on tap. I regularly travel between NYC and DC and always make a side trip to TLs and bring a few home to wife and sons who rave about the pork with provolne and greens.

i was excited to try this place for the first time after going to geno's, which i thought was good. first, the service is the RUDEST. dont get me wrong.. i understand its crowded and i get that it a schtick at these places to have crappy/rude service for cheap and good food.. but the cheese steak i had was so blah! i mean it.. it was soo bland! i was so disappointed. i would go one more time just to ensure that it wasnt a fluke .. but seriously.. i was way overwheled.

Moved from NYC to Philly 15 years ago. Still hate the Eagles and Phillies but love Tony Lukes. Easy off/on to I-95. The chicken is great. Have never ordered the pork but will give it a try one of these days. Anybody who pans this South Philly icon on this or any other website is probably working for the competition.

The best hot sandwiches in Philly. The best are the chicken cutlet and pork Italian (with sharp provolone and greens). If you're a vegetarian, try an Uncle Mikes, all veggie and nicely spicy. You won't go away hungry.

My favorite! And on the way to PHL to catch my flight back home to SW Florida I have to pick up 10 for other former Philly natives...Who is that guy calling Philly sandwiches subs? Probably from AC hee hee...A+ to Tony Luke's!
