are you serious?
i was excited to try this place for the first time after going to geno's, which i thought was good. first, the service is the RUDEST. dont get me wrong.. i understand its crowded and i get that it a schtick at these places to have crappy/rude service for cheap and good food.. but the cheese steak i had was so blah! i mean it.. it was soo bland! i was so disappointed. i would go one more time just to ensure that it wasnt a fluke .. but seriously.. i was way overwheled.

Worth the wait.
Moved from NYC to Philly 15 years ago. Still hate the Eagles and Phillies but love Tony Lukes. Easy off/on to I-95. The chicken is great. Have never ordered the pork but will give it a try one of these days. Anybody who pans this South Philly icon on this or any other website is probably working for the competition.

huge sandwiches
The best hot sandwiches in Philly. The best are the chicken cutlet and pork Italian (with sharp provolone and greens). If you're a vegetarian, try an Uncle Mikes, all veggie and nicely spicy. You won't go away hungry.

Great!
My favorite! And on the way to PHL to catch my flight back home to SW Florida I have to pick up 10 for other former Philly natives...Who is that guy calling Philly sandwiches subs? Probably from AC hee hee...A+ to Tony Luke's!

Mama mia!
Tony Luke's has the absolute best sandwiches and hoagies in the city! The roast pork with sharp provolone and broccoli rabe is to die for! But that's not all... try a pepper & egg!!! You'll be running back for more!
