    Best BYOB in Conshy!!

My mom was visiting with her boyfriend for the weekend and wanted to go for Italian and this was perfect because it's BYO. It's a bit loud with it being a more confined space, but this being my 4th time here...clearly there is a reason I keep returning. They were SO pleased with their meals and just thoroughly enjoyed their experience! We were all eating off of each other's plates and were oohing and aahing after every bite!! Their bread is delicious and fresh and service is perfect. I highly recommend this for a date night, girls night, or really anytime you want an amazing meal. I have yet to order something I don't like!! You won't regret coming here!

We went to Totaros for the first time. The food was delicious, the waitress very friendly and accommodating. Very pleasant overall.

    i would never go back

i have never taken the time to write a restaurant review but this experience was so poor. our reservation was for 8:15, we were seated close to 9:00. by that time, they were out of three things that we were going to order. (mussels, veal shank, and another meat dish). i ordered shrimp cocktail for an appetizer and calamari over pasta for my main course. at 10:00 the owner/chef came out of the kitchen and said he wouldnt charge me for my dinner because he was running low on calamari. when my dinner came it was 3 miniscule pieces of calamari over overcooked, overseasoned pasta. it would have been better to just say we are out of calamari. by 10 o clock i did not want to start ordering something else. the 3 other people at my table were already eating and i will say they enjoyed their dinner. the waitress was pleasant and apologized.

    Conshy's best kept secret.

I think Trattoria Totaro is the best restaurant in Conshy. I have been there for dinner twice now, and both were amazing meals, including friendly service, and a great atmosphere. My out of town guests made several comments about how much they enjoyed the food. I can't wait to go back..

    Wonderful food!

I have eaten at Totaro's TRrattoria twice and think it is wonderful! The food is very reasonably priced and the portions are huge. The entrees come with a small Cesar salad and a side of pasta (homemade) or veggies. It is also a BYOB. The owners are personable and stop to chat and ask how you enjoyed your meal. It's like eating in Italy. Also a really extensive menu, from appetizers to full meals, and 3/4 portions too!

    Poor pork sandwich

Had dined there several times (not recently) and always thoroughly enjoyed the food, so I felt comfortable going for lunch. Was looking forward to it in fact. I ordered the pork sandwich with broccoli rabe, provolone & roasted peppers. The pork had absolutely no flavor, no seasoning at all. I asked for the broccoli rabe on the side because it can sometimes be too bitter. What I got was literally no more than 2 ounces (I think 1) in something the size of one of those little plastic cups that hold the dumpling sauce from Chinese take away. The roasted peppers consisted of 2 - yes 2 - 1' x 1/4' pieces; the provolone, -2 see- through thin slices - deli cut. Not the sharp provolone the sandwich calls for and you expect from an Italian Trattoria. The cheese added nothing, no flavor at all. And the worst part - the roll was wet not with jus but with what could only have been grease or oil (not olive) of some kind. Maybe the jus was never strained or stirred. I ordered the sandwich anticipating a moist tasty pork sandwich on a par with Tony Luke's. What I got was a poor excuse for an Italian roasted pork sandwich. I chose not to make a fuss about it. I was with a friend I hadn't seen in quite a while and didn't want to waste any of the short time we had explaining how the sandwich was. On the up side - the fries that came with were good.
