    Poor pork sandwich

Had dined there several times (not recently) and always thoroughly enjoyed the food, so I felt comfortable going for lunch. Was looking forward to it in fact. I ordered the pork sandwich with broccoli rabe, provolone & roasted peppers. The pork had absolutely no flavor, no seasoning at all. I asked for the broccoli rabe on the side because it can sometimes be too bitter. What I got was literally no more than 2 ounces (I think 1) in something the size of one of those little plastic cups that hold the dumpling sauce from Chinese take away. The roasted peppers consisted of 2 - yes 2 - 1' x 1/4' pieces; the provolone, -2 see- through thin slices - deli cut. Not the sharp provolone the sandwich calls for and you expect from an Italian Trattoria. The cheese added nothing, no flavor at all. And the worst part - the roll was wet not with jus but with what could only have been grease or oil (not olive) of some kind. Maybe the jus was never strained or stirred. I ordered the sandwich anticipating a moist tasty pork sandwich on a par with Tony Luke's. What I got was a poor excuse for an Italian roasted pork sandwich. I chose not to make a fuss about it. I was with a friend I hadn't seen in quite a while and didn't want to waste any of the short time we had explaining how the sandwich was. On the up side - the fries that came with were good.

    Nice people, great food

I go there often for lunch or dinner. Always delicious. Always good value. They care about quality. Never disappointing to my guests.

Best food around on a consistent basis

First glance looks like your basic mom & pop sandwich/pizza shop for lunch. However if you review the menu, you can see it offers great Italian entree options as well, but don't worry the sandwiches and pizza are great too. The daily specials are always varied and worth looking at, and unlike other places the daily specials usually include 5-8 items (although I am annoyed some specials haven't graduated to full menu items yet). The cook is a CHEF and I often see him come to the dining room himself and ask how people liked their meals. He takes his craft seriously and you should too! Get on the email mailing list for daily specials and you won't be disappointed.

    Best Sandwich on Earth!

My friend took me to this place for lunch. He said to get the Crispy Chipotle Chicken Sandwich. Confirmed. It is the best sandwich on earth. I just moved out of the area, but will travel back just for this sandwich. This place also has such small town charm. Great for a date. The owner came out and talked to us too. Good job Vince and nice meeting you.

Great Experience - we will definitely return

Great place, owner-operated - which is so valuable - BYOB - the Eggplant Duck app was excellent, and so is the Osso Bucco and Veal Vivian - we will definitely be regulars! Service was excellent also!

Great food in a small resturant

At first glance it's a pizza shop, which during lunch it is. Lunches are great and reasonably priced. Diner it becomes a great restaurant, small and intimate. selection are different and unusual. Pricey and Worth a try. Recommend

    Can't beat the food

The food is why you go there. Maybe pick up or delivery is better if you are in a hurry. If you have time to kick back, drink some wine and chat with the locals, then eat in. The sandwiches are the best in town. The pastas are a great deal. Some of the special dinners are a little pricey, but they are indeed good. Go there, just don't expect magical service. They are usually a little on the crazy side, but that makes it kind of fun if you just lighten up a bit (and don't have any meetings right after your meal).
