Ulivo

You must try this restaurant!! Everything is phenomenal. I tried 5 different dishes and a dessert and loved everything. We ate every last bite-- which is very rare. The gnocchi is to die for, but you can't go wrong with any choice. The service is always very warm and friendly. And overall, excellent experience! Totally recommend it.

Our meals were superb...linguine with crab and mussels. The service was the best and the decibel level was fine...even with a full house.

First impression of Ulivo was a typical neighborhood restaurant with wood tables and small uncomfortable wood chairs. But the room was open and bright and airy and the bathroom was spotless and updated, the restaurant also has a good potential for outside dining come spring. Music was a little too loud for the size of the room. Service was very good, we were greeted and sat immediately and service throughout dinner was very good. We were given a small portion of bread which was salty with just plain olive oil for dipping. I had the Grilled Shrimp appetizer and my wife had the Fried Polenta which were both very good. I then had the Caesar salad which had way too many pieces of the sliced heart which I don’t use in my Caesar Salad and a creamy dressing which tasted like something out of a bottle. I left most of the salad and our waitress asked how it was and when I told her, she immediately apologized and said it would be removed from our bill. I had the Porchetta and my wife had the Flat Iron Steak as our mains. Both were cooked perfectly and tasted very good. We both had the cappuccino which was not bad and the Pistachio Torta with Meyer lemon cream. The Pistachio Torta was very small and tasted like a sweet muffin with no pistachio taste although the Meyer lemon cream was flavorful. All in all the meal was pretty good.

Very pleased and excited with the new addition of top quality dining in the neighborhood...I live close by and will be a frequent patron!

Had a FANTASTIC meal.....everything was flavorful and fresh. For those of you with memories of Sovalo in Northern Liberties.....this place is a rebirth of that wonderful menu. I highly recommend a visit!
