I also live close by and come here a fair amount. I usually get the turkey and brie sandwich, which is delicious and great value. They letme sub the cheddar grits for the salad, and the grits are killer. I've also had the lump crab fries, fried pickles, Varga salad w/ chicken, turkey burger, soft shell crab sandwich, and fish & chips. All were excellent except the fish & chips, which were terrible, although I've heard others rave about them - maybe it was just an off day. The service is dicey; sometimes terrible, sometimes very good, depending on which waiter/waitress you get. The last waitress couldn't do enough for me, wish I'd gotten her name. Not crazy about the noise level, usually very loud. All in all, a good neighborhood spot with good food.

I live nearby and I am there often. I bring my family and friends and send my B and B guests.. The food is great but the staff is unpleasant, they never acknowledge you or even greet you . I leave over 20% tip but they can not even say thank you. There is one exception Lisa. She is friendly upbeat and gives great service.

I live near this place so I've been there alot in the past year. Love the kobe sliders, crab fries, cheese plates and everything else that I've tried. I have to agree with that other person about the staff. They're a bunch of snobs, especially the female servers. Last time I was there, they were out of more than half of the beers listed on tap and the waitress was annoyed that we were asking what they DID have. After we got our food, we never saw her again and that irks me. Every time I go there, it seems to get worse so now I've put a personal ban on them. They are a wannabe beer snob bar that overprices their beer (cheapest pint is $6) So now I give my money to a real beer snob bar, Eulogy. I will miss the burgers and cheese plates though

Had the best martini just the way I ordered it, chinqoteague oysters with a perfect mignonette and chopped shallots, the superb Varga salad and the best cup og coffee I've had outside of my own. I was a very happy woman. Bravo!

Finally a bar at this address with great food ,good servers and a fine chef with creative specials. Varga salad is the best in the neighborhood and we have great eateries in Wash West!Lots of competition!
