i have been going to this wonderful restaurant for 4 years. the food is amazing, the staff could not be friendlier, and its a price bargain. Go once. you will come back. love it!!!

One of my very favorite restaurants!
I had a birthday party here with 45 people @ $15 a head, and the only thing that inflated the bill was the bar tab. I suggest your friends had a lot more to drink than they admit. The food here is just excellent. Service can be erratic but never outright bad. I've been coming back for 15 years and I recommend it to everyone.

A delicious and wonder ful experience
I eat here every Friday with my husband and daughter. We regularly spend 50$ or less with tip so I'm not sure how that's not a good value! The good is terrific, simple and well prepared. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the staff very attentive. You have to experience this restaurant!

Consistently delicious
i've been coming here for over fourteen years and have had a delicious meal each and every time. i am a vegetarian and my dining companions are frequently not, yet we all enjoy ourselves immensely every time we dine here. i agree with agave - the party of 16 must not have kept track of what they were ordering, because i've found the value of the food to be as consistent as the wonderful flavor! a definite must in philly.

People like to complain
I just have to say that whoever claims this place isn't worth your time just because their 16 people party doesn't know how to watch how much they spend is really overstating their claim. This restaurant has wonderful ambiance, great service, and great food. The food is by no means overpriced, especially if you just choose the less expensive dishes. There is a great deal to choose from, and a great section for vegetarians!

A must eat
On the outskirts of Chinatown in Philly, this Vietnamese restaurant is perfect for a mid day lunch or a hearty dinner. First, the ambiance is comforting and inviting. The staff is very courteous and punctual. The food is absolutely delicious. rom the pho noodle soups to the broken rice dishes all the way to the fried spring rolls, you can't beat the price And with such a low price, the quality does not suffer at all. his is a must eat! And it's the only Vietnamese place I know that serves Flan.

Overpriced
I am writing this review after returning from a friend's birthday party at Vietnam Palace. The bill for the party of 16 ended up being a ridiculous $600! That's $40 per person for barely any food. We had 15 dishes which averaged out to be $28 per dish. We did not order anything like lobster, steak, or alcohol. For crying out loud, 1/3 of the dishes were vegetarian!! And there is no way they had given us $84 worth in spring rolls! You can spend $40/person at a restaurant and be extremely satisfied. But Vietnam Palace is not by any means worth your time or money. In the end the manager did nothing to adjust the price. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
