Villa is the BEST!
Villa has the BEST food and staff in the city. No one can come close to the clams in red! My 8 year old loves to dip her garlic bread, then she moves onto my Steak Villa or my husbands Veal Bella Buca. Everytime we leave, we look forward to the next time we can come back!

disappointed
I chose the Villa for my birthday dinner because it was in the heart of the Italian market. What a huge disappointment. While the pasta and sauce was mediocre, the Italian sausage was rock hard and tasteless.

Worth the walk
While researching Italian Restaurants in Phili I discovered "The Villa". I walked a great distance to get to this restaurant and every step was totally worth it. Other than my waitress being a little too quiet (the others were lively Italian mamas), the atmosphere is alive and happy. I had lasagne and vino di casa and both were very, very good. My plate was wiped clean when I left. I tip my hat to Pepe and staff.

German boy knows Italian
I grew up in a very Italian neighborhood and can't go without my gravy. I have tried all the recipes of my friends parents growing up and they all have there own twist that stands out but Villa is one of a kind. My father brought me here as a child and I bring my family now to keep the tradition going. I would not go anywhere else for a classic pasta dish. You must try the Villa Salad and the chicken cacc. This is a must do in South Philly. Awesome.

Sunday dinner
Excellent is the only thing we can say! Everything was delicious-tasted like grandma's. The server was so nice and got everything right the first time. I can't wait to return to Philly and go back!

it's happenin'
villa is the best. i go often with family and everyone is always so friendly and nice. pippi is one of the owners, great guy, always for the customer. veal sicilian, dominic, villa salad, pasta alfredo are just some of my favs. go there and i'm sure you'll love. they even did some of my parties!! #1

Huge portions at very reasonable prices
The waitresses turn tables over at a brisk pace here. Definitely a no-nonsense approach. We enjoyed the mussels though their delicious liquor was whisked away too quickly to make room for our piping hot and extremely large entrees. Kids loved the lasagna (also good cold for breakfast!). None of us had room for dessert.
