The best ever in Tea Gardens

Although I have been several times, my daughter and my first grandaughter Molly (6 months) surprized me with lunch at Wild Violets. The food once again was outstanding and the service was excellent. The steady stream of customers both newcomers and loyal customers were greeted with prompt service. Our waitress gave us undivided attention and even stopped to marvel at the baby. We had reservations and the table along with highchair was waiting when we arrived. We were not rushed through and was told to stay and enjoy as long as we wanted. The staff was very genuine and attentive, which has not been the case where we have dined lately. So hats off to the Wild Violet Tea Garden for making my birthday so special. BAM, Yardley, PA

    Not what we expected

From the previous reviews we were expecting a great atmosphere and a proper British Tea. What we found were two slightly clueless girls,, uncleared tables, and tea we could have made ourselves. Our cups were not delivered with our tea- we had to ask for them. Even though the waitress wrote down our order, she still had to come back and ask again. She also delivered the wrong tea. The website menu promised real Devonshire cream, but we got sweetened whipped cream instead. The dining area and the china were charming and eclectic. It was a nice open space and the tables were pretty. Overall, it wasn't a real British tea shop, but it wasn't a horrible experience.

    very nice!

we went with the moms club and had about 8 kids to 3 adults. The atmosphere is not very kid friendly, but they were fine, and the staff helped! It was nice, the kids loved it, and the adults cant wait to get a moms night out with out the kids...to go back. I thought we would leave hungry, but we all could not finish our meals.....Very nice and worth the time, wait and money- not tooo expensive, priced right.- Thanks! Had a great time!

    A wonderful tea room

My sister took me to the Wild Violets Tea Garden for my birthday. It is just one room on the ground floor of a very old building near Langhorne, where she lives. The decorations in the room were fantastic. Tea cups and Tea pots were everywhere. We ordered the Full Afternoon Tea. The food was served on a 3 teired stand. The top had very tender scones with Devonshire cream. The second layer was the tea sandwiches. They were all very good, but I would have eaten a dozen cucumber sandwiches, they were so good. The other sandwiches were assorted salads, very yummy. The bottom plate had desserts on it, cannolis, chocolate covered strawberries and tiny iced cakes. All in all, it was a wonderful lunch. I can't wait to go back again, but I won't wait for my birthday to do so.
