Authentic eats
I lived in Japan for a couple of years before moving to Philly. Several of my Japanese friends agree- Yakitori Boy's food tastes like home. The quail eggs wrapped in bacon are absolutely delicious and a great price. The chicken katsu is perfectly done- not too greasy and served with the right sauce, slice of lemon and cabbage. The tempura udon was also a treat. Grilled squid was yummy too. I haven't tried the sushi yet because I've been so enamored with the Japanese food that doesn't usually make its way onto American menus. The soft drinks are pretty small and kind of expensive. The beer selection is slim- just Hoegaarden and the three big Japanese beers: Kirin, Sapporo, and Asahi. But the karaoke makes up for it :) The service was okay- our Chinese server didn't understand English as well as we would have liked. But other than some ordering confusion, everything else was fine. Food came out quick and our water was refilled often. Highly recommended.

Looking for joy - visit yakitori boy!
I have gone several times now and always on Thursday & I have always experienced pure joy! The staff is friendly, the food is great & reasonably price and the karioke bar is pure fun. If you need to smile, you need to experience Yakitori Karioke bar.
