Ignored and shuffled
Dining alone can be unpleasant and it's nice when it goes smoothly. Not so in this case. At Yonny's I was directed by one employee to sit wherever I liked only to sit and wait and wait and wait for someone to acknowledge my existence. When the waitress did appear it was to sit and chat with a regular customer who had arrived long after me. I finally caught her attention and rather than apologize for the long wait, she requested (not discreetly) that I get up (laptop, backpack and all) and sit at a smaller table (BTW the place was nearly empty, it was Saturday, and past the lunch rush) I was polite but decided that I wouldn't be able to enjoy a meal after this.

Great place for breakfast
I go to Philly every now and then as I work for the airline, and I'll go to Yonny's every time for breakfast - It aint china service, but you get loads of good food, juice and coffee, and the atmosphere is great - friendly, easy - you can either have a chat, or just read the paper. Sadly, won't be going there anymore cos I wont be flying to PHL for a while.

Simple, good food, always fresh
Yonny's is a mainstay of the area with lots of regulars, including me. The staff is efficient and friendly, and the food is always good. Hamburgers are not frozen, always made with fresh meat. And they always have some excellent specials. There's nothing fancy about Yonny's menu, but everything is prepared with care. I usually get the Greek salad and Yonny never disappoints. It's huge! Buried amid the fresh, green romaine lettuce, tomatoes, black olives and huge hunks of feta cheese are several stuffed grape leaves, a sliced egg, artichoke hearts, and you can get anchovies, if you desire. It's the best Greek salad in the city, I think.
