I love it here. The food is delicious, but drinks are expensive. My service has been so-so. Hostess is always great, but the servers consistency is more important. A little laxed and don't seem to have it all together. For example, they asked the tables around us for the type of water they prefer, and didnt ask us. Weird and a bit stereotypical.

Great atmosphere once you are seated -- waits should be expected in this part of the city, a little tight but it didn't bother me. Service was knowledgeable and friendly, the manager/hostess was fantastic and ran a good group. Attention was perfect, our drinks were always full. The owner/chef was cool and made his rounds, seeing how everyone was doing and talking about the food -- local to the area, great stories here!!! See the Kennett pizza and figure it my neat little piece of trivia (hint: square) All of the food was delicious to say the least! Pizzas are served right from the oven (brick oven 860 degrees) awesome crust and unique compared to the pizzas you eat at the office, or during family events. The pizzas are lighter and less greasy/cheesy, no floppy slices here. A little pricey for the serving size but worth it in flavor and fun during the night out. My meal: Baby Jesus Roasted Red & Golden Beets Polpettini Pizza - tomato sauce, provolone cheese & veal mini meatballs. and a few beers from the selection. What will be next?!?!?! 100% going back for more!

I think my headline about covers it. Nice room, but loud. The outdoor seating is problematic due to the sloping, narrow sidewalk. The hostesses were great, but our server was a disaster. 33 minutes is far too long to wait before someone takes for an order. He had asked earlier, but walked away with no explanation as I started to order. The appetizers were ok, nothing to write home about. The pizzas were burn and shockingly devoid of flavor. The drinks were short and the cocktails varied from one to the next. Skip it.

A group of friends (8 to be exact) went out for drinks and apps around 10pm. We asked the hostess when we came in if we could just have some drinks at a table and they seated us telling us it wouldn't be a problem. We even confirmed with our waiter that we would just be drinking and having some light apps. He didn't seem like it was a problem. After about an hour and our third round of drinks and cheese platters the owner came up and told us he would have to seat the two seats at the end of our table due to the fact that it was a small restaurant. We looked around and there were plenty of open tables. We told him we didn't mind him sitting the seats, even though we were miffed by the open tables around the restaurant and bar stools open. Then after about five minutes he came up and told us next time we came in we would have to order food in order to stay and have a table. We had a over a $200.00 tab at the time and I couldn't believe he would say that to paying customers. Needless to say we asked for the bill and we will never go back...even if someone else pays for my meal. While we were paying the owner came up to us to appologize for his attitude, but to little to late.

Everything they have is delicious! The pizza crust is cooked to perfection. The appetizers are unique, light, and full of flavor. The entrees, especially the braised pork, are phenomenal. And the drinks round out the mean, particularly the Vesper Martini. Combine all of that with a quaint atmosphere, and you have an awesome place to eat Philadelphia's best pizza.
