Very Delicious!
I went here with a party of nine. We brought several bottles of wine and enjoyed a great meal for not a lot of money. The service was absolutely fine - no problems at all. I actually kind of like it when the servers leave you alone. The food was incredible!! It all smelled so good. I chose the spinach pie (how can you go wrong with that) and tried a bite of one of my dining companion's greek eggplant which was awesome! Everyone else seemed pleased with their dishes. We had NO WAIT on a Friday night, the place is charming and family run, and you cannot beat the value. If you are thinking about going here...do it.

Quality food from a family-owned restaurant
We've eaten there frequently during the past 8 years, and we have never had a bad meal. The food is consistently good, especially the lamb dishes. The bread is amazing, as well as the grape leaf appetizers and the mussels. The service can be a bit sketchy during crowded evenings, but it's a family-run shop, and they work hard. It's our go-to place when we just want a good meal in the neighborhood and no hassles.

It is what it is
Here's the thing about Zorba's: it's good homemade Greek food with poor wait staff. But the busboys are great! They take great care of me. I feel I should tip them, not the waitress who lets me sit for 15 min. without a drink while she pops a bottle with the table in the back and hangs out. I suppose that's part of the appeal of this place, but it is not fun when you are not the one drinking with the waitress! Occasionally I will order take out so I don't have to deal with it. I really love the braised lamb and the honey cake.

It's a shame!
My Fiance and I live in this area we never went to this restaurant and trust me we been to just about all the restaurants in this area we decided to go on a tuesday night this summer thinking that it would not be to crowded and it wasn't we had a seat outside it took awhile for someone to come over and great us when they did we were handed the menus..they did not tell us about any specials or recommendations we looked over the menu and decided to order it took at least 10- 15 mins before someone came over and when they did it was not the person who gave us the menus. after a while we were served our food no one came back to check on us or to see if we needed anything. we felt ignored and very uncomfortable about this place I can tell you there are great restaurants in this area for less money and the service is 10 times better. The only good thing about this resturarant is the fact that the food is good.

The best Greek food around
I don't know what you are talking about,I'm going to Zorbas the last 4 years and i never had a problem with their food or their service. That is a family restaurant and they all try their best.If you want to have 5 people on top of your head you will pay 5 times what you pay at Zorbas and it want worth it except if you are on a date and you only pay the atmosphere.

Don't go
I went in for a gyro and was served shaved lamb and french fries with pita wedges on the side. Very odd. I will never return.

Zorba's - Almost...
If things at Zorba's were a little different, they would be one of the best restaurants in the Art Museum/Fairmount area. Sometimes Zorba's is great, with amazing kebabs, quick service and nice staff. Other days you show up at dinner time and they will seemingly be out of half their menu and they will have one waiter to deal with a packed house. It's unfortunate eating there is so erratic because they are one of the few quality ethnic dining options near the Museum.
